Listening to Hillary Rodham Clinton addressing the “Women in the World Summit” set me to thinking about the whole issue of women, rights, income, power, opportunity, equality, education, family responsibilities and all things that we as women do, are responsible for, are challenged by and what we are still fighting for. One fact that sticks out in my mind: there are more women in collage and more women who have Ph.D.’s. Despite this, Economist Magazine stated their Glass Ceiling Index indicates the American Dream remains elusive for most American women.
I think each woman has her own “American Dream.” Be that as it may, there is no question about the need for financial freedom –the security that comes with that allows us choices. And with this comes independence and can even out the balance of power. Some women want to be stay at home moms, some want to climb the corporate ladder, some want to excel in a professional field. Many will have a number of different careers; five seems to be the current projection. There likely will be a major long term career, with a less demanding and perhaps more fun career later in life; one that allows us to “afford” our active retirement years. If this is what you are looking for, explore the industry of Relationship Marketing. Brilliant Compensation does a “brilliant” job explaining the benefits. Nerium International provides the company and their anti-aging night cream treatment, Nerium AD product, fits “brilliantly” in this space of Boomer retirement years. It allows us to look years younger- and who doesn’t want to look their best?- allows us to earn those extra dollars to afford the fun things we want to do and work a few extra hours from home, thus still allowing for fun, travel, and family time.
