America’s Parks Exhibition
Presented by the St. Johns Cultural Council, this exhibition portrays the wondrous beauty of America’s diverse landscapes. It also includes juried works of the Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas from the Find Your Park Plein Air event held during National Park Week in April. This exhibition is free and will be held on the Lightner Museum’s mezzanine level, overlooking the historic pool area, through August 31. Please enter through Café Alcazar entrance. New Work – Fresh Off the Easel Multi-Artist Exhibition
In an effort to keep things fresh this summer, Cutter & Cutter Fine Art has encouraged many talented artists to send in their newest original works, which will be part of this exhibition through July 31. Between Here and There Exhibition at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum
See the Shannon Estlund exhibition focusing on the individual’s relationship to place, titled “Between Here and There,” at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum. The artist, a Jacksonville native, works between painting, sculpture and site-specific installation. Estlund’s paintings pay particular attention to un-idealized natural places that are “readily accessible but often overlooked.” The paintings reference these spaces through a combination of lushly saturated color often juxtaposed with works that have a muted, more somber palate. Music by the Sea Concert
Free weekly concert at the St. Johns County Pier features a wide variety of musical genres. The seaside concerts are 7 – 9 p.m. This week’s featured performer is Catch the Groove. Starting at 6 p.m., La Strada will offer dinners as an option for concert goers. All dinners are priced at $10 or less. Concert goers are encouraged to car pool or ride the shuttle from the St. Augustine Beach City Hall.
