Billy Buchanan Performance at the Corazon Cinema and Cafe
Join the Corazon Cinema and Cafe for a viewing party to hear Billy Buchanan’s original song, The Joneses, being played during the pilot episode of Lodge 49 on AMC. In the Mood Harry McCormick Art Exhibition
World-renowned artist Harry McCormick will display his artwork through September 20 at the St. Johns County Administration Building’s Rotunda. McCormick is noted for his realistic paintings with a focus on light and shadow, and he has been called a painter of “interiors” and “genre”‘ – such as ordinary people doing ordinary things like a series of people looking at paintings in museums and galleries. Flagler 50: Celebrating a College and a Preservation Legacy, 1968-2018 Exhibition
This exhibition is part of the upcoming repertoire of 50th anniversary celebrations at Flagler College. The exhibition features historic photos and morsels of information about the humble beginnings of the college through today. The exhibition can be accessed via Flagler’s Legacy Tours or through the Florida Stories phone app available for free download, a newly created 24-page self-guided tour booklet about the historic campus. This special exhibit will be available through May 2019. The cost for the Legacy Tours is $12 for adults and free for youth under age 10 with a paid adult. National Lighthouse Day 
On August 7, 2013, the Senate passed a resolution stating that every August 7th be declared National Lighthouse Day. Although not officially law, the recognition of August 7th as National Lighthouse and Lighthouse Preservation Day continues with the government and its agencies. The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum invites everyone to celebrate National Lighthouse Day at its location. Learn the history of Florida’s first lighthouse and take a Behind the Scenes tour, offered daily on the hour from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The museum hours are 9 a.m.-7 p.m. seven days each week, with hours changing to 9 a.m. -6 p.m. after Labor Day. Fishing Clinic 101
St. Johns County Parks and Recreation is offering free fishing clinics each Tuesday in August and the first Tuesday in September. The free clinics teach about fishing regulations, bait, nets, fish identification and how to tie a knot. It is recommended to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, water bottle, fishing rod and reel with fishing line. Registration is required through phone or email. French Boys Choir Les Moineaux at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine
Les Moineaux will be on tour in the United States and will perform music of the sixteenth century and the well-known Hallelujah from Handel, Ave Maria from Gounod as well as music pieces of the French folklores. Nature & Wildlife Art Exhibition
The St. Augustine Art Association will be transformed into a nature-lover’s paradise with the installation of the ninth annual Nature & Wildlife Art Exhibition. The juried exhibition features an array of unique interpretations of the natural world, including birds and botanicals, marine life and landscapes, wild beasts and endangered species expressed in paintings, ceramics, sculpture, photography, drawings, mixed media, glass art, fiber works and more. Let’s Talk Turtle
Join in discovering the wonderful sea turtles of Anastasia State Park. Learn about identifying turtle nests, hatching and the great journey sea turtles begin after leaving the beach and the dangers they encounter in the ocean. Music by the Sea Concert
This free weekly concert series at the St. Johns County Pier features a wide variety of musical genres from 7-9 p.m. Bring a beach chair or blanket along with a favorite beverage and get ready to dance. Starting at 6 p.m., dinner is offered as an option for concert goers. Concert in the Plaza
Returning for its 28th season in 2018, this popular weekly event falls into a tradition shared by many communities: enjoying a concert in the town square on a summer night. Heathers the Musical at the Limelight Theatre
Heathers the Musical at the Limelight Theatre is a hilarious, heartfelt and homicidal comedy based on the classic 1988 film. Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Fins and Freedom Sail
Come on board, help raise sails and then kick back and relax while educators from the world’s first oceanarium talk about dolphins. There is no set sailing path, we go where the wind takes us. Complimentary soda, water, beer and wine are included, and passengers may bring snacks or a picnic. After the sail, visit Marineland to complete this unique experience. Your ticket includes the sail and admission to Marineland. The boat departs at 2:15 p.m. from the St. Augustine Municipal Marina and lasts two hours. Sunset Kayak Tour

Family Seining at the GTM Research Reserve
Hosted by the GTM Research Reserve, you’re invited to join docents from 9-11 a.m. to learn how to pull a seine net. Participants will collect fish and crabs as well as learn about their habitats and role in the environment. Waders and boots provided. The program takes place in the Environmental Education Center. The King at the Corazon Cinema and Cafe

This film is a special showing along with a live performance by singer Maggie Clifford, who was in the film. Forty years after the death of Elvis Presley, two-time Sundance Grand Jury winner Eugene Jarecki’s new film takes the King’s 1963 Rolls-Royce on a musical road trip across America. The event is at 7 p.m. at the Corazon Cinema and Cafe. Andy Irons: Kissed by God – A Film by Teton Gravity Research at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre
This free event, presented by the Friends of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and the St. Augustine Film Festival, shares a documentary about world champion surfer Andy Irons and his struggle with bipolar disorder and opioid addiction. Our Feathered Friends Hike and Marsh Walk
Fort Mose Historic State Park will host an educational Guided Bird Walk program from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Join birding expert Susan Killeen on a hike and birding exploration of our salt marsh and the Secondary Fort Site Island (established 1752). Bring your rubber boots, binoculars, cameras, water and any other pertinent items to make your travel through the estuary more enjoyable. This event is weather permitting and subject to cancellation. Art & Architecture Walking Tour
The St. Augustine Art Association offers its popular Art and Architecture Walking Tour that focuses on the iconic art, architecture and history of the St. Augustine community. In this 90-minute tour, the art historian guide will point out paintings and examples of Spanish, Colonial and Victorian architecture, monuments, murals, public sculptures and stained glass. Family Art Workshop
Vilano Beach Art Programs offers an instructional art session for the entire family at the North Shore Improvement Association Community Center on Vilano Beach. From 2-4 p.m., local artist Sarah Carrigan provides individuals and families with art project instruction to take home. Painting to tie dying, each month a different type of art is featured. Some art supplies are provided. The first workshop is free. The family rate is $40 for non-members or $25 for members.
