The Hero from ‘Wicked Autumn’ is Back!

The Hero from ‘Wicked Autumn’ is Back!
Author G.M. Malliet Moves Forward in A Fatal Winter

TomAFatalWinterAn interesting hero entered the literary world when he starred in a truly fantastic book called, Wicked Autumn. Thankfully, this very handsome Anglican Priest who has a background as a former spy is back, and this new mystery, if possible, is even better than the first.

We speak of Max Tudor, who is attempting to solve the murders of an upper-crust family living in a castle located in Max’s home turf of Nether Monkslip. His adventure begins on a train, where Max shares a compartment with Lady Baynard of Chedrow Castle.
Disliking his journey more and more, this particular Lady is beyond annoying and Max can hardly wait to get to his destination and leave her far behind, which is definitely not a ‘priestly’ attitude.

Irony at its finest, Max is soon asked to come to Chedrow Castle by the local detective inspector Cotton; the inspector wishes to utilize Max’s MI-5 experience to help him investigate the odd death of Lord Footrustle, the owner of the castle and head of the family. It is the happy holiday season; Christmas is in the air and the fancy home is overrun by family suspects who are all salivating over the announcement of the Will; each one wants nothing more than to be named the new owner of the castle and be blessed with the title of Lord.

Soon after Max’s arrival a new body crops up, and that is Lady Baynard, the dead Lord’s sister and Max’s annoying travel companion. Very interested as to who will profit from the deaths of both the brother and sister, Max must delve into the secrets of many. Included among the cheery family members are Lord Footrustle’s daughter, Jocasta, and his former wife, Gwynyth. Both are more than a little strange, and Max doesn’t give much thought to either of them, seeing as that they’re definitely not smart enough to carry out a murder.

The Lord’s adopted granddaughter, Lamorna, seems to be another story, and soon becomes suspect number one in Max’s mind. Whether he’s right or wrong will be a challenge to discover, but one thing is for sure…Max is definitely about to meet his intellectual match. Enjoy this one, readers! It is fantastic!

Until Next Time, Everybody,
Amy

Supreme Court Sides With Landowners

Supreme Court Sides With Landowners In Koontz v. St. Johns River Water Management District, the high court finds it unconstitutional to use the permitting process as a tool of extortion. When Coy Koontz filed an application for a permit to develop 3.7 acres of a 14.9-acre parcel in 1994, he could hardly have imagined it was the beginning of a 20-year odyssey that would eventually wind its way to the U.S. Supreme Court. There’s a ROAR in Them Thar’ Woods

There’s a ROAR in Them Thar’ Woods ~ Amy Lignor Yes…the tiger, per animal facts anyway, is supposedly more aggressive and meaner than the old lion. The ‘big man’ is always shown sitting in the sun, yawning – or giving that roar that startles creatures before he sends his wife off to catch dinner because, quite frankly, she’s better at it. But when it comes to golf, it is the lion – the ROAR of Rory – that is being heard, as he kicks the … [Read More its Good for You...]

The Literary Green

The Literary Green ~ Samantha Lewis When we speak about literary ‘green’ we are not speaking about how much contracts are worth these days or how well an author’s book is doing in the marketplace. What we are talking about is the fact that this week the literary industry came back into the headlines and created ‘buzz’ to the maximum. No…this is not about Amazon and the headlines that are constantly following them around where authors are … [Read More its Good for You...]
