St. Johns County Recognizes 2014 Employee of the Year and Tenured Employees for Years of Service
St. Johns County, FL – St. Johns County held the annual Employee Service Awards Ceremony on January 22 and recognized 156 employees with combined dedicated service of 1,910 years. These employees were celebrated as they looked back to what was culturally relevant in the years they were hired, and reminisced on what they have accomplished within that time. Employees were recognized in increments of 5 years up to 40 years of service.
Of particular note, Wayne Pacetti was recognized for the greatest number of years served by any St. Johns County Employee. Beginning his work for the County in 1974, Pacetti has served as Facilities Maintenance Manager, Building Operations Division Manager, and Buildings Superintendent during his 40 years of employment.
In addition, Wes Tucker was honored as the St. Johns County 2014 Employee of the Year. Tucker was hired in 1989, and now serves as the St. Johns County Golf Club Manager. He was selected from a highly talented and deserving group of nominees for this special award. The award is presented to the employee who, through nomination, has demonstrated public service excellence and made exemplary organizational contributions throughout the year.
