St. Johns County Library Summer Reading Program
St. Johns County, FL. – There are amazing bats in St. Johns County that play an important roleSt_Johns_County1
in the local ecosystem. Join bat advocate Marcia Daniels at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, to
find out how they help us during this free reading program at the St. Johns County Southeast
Branch Library, 6670 US-1 South, St. Augustine.
Daniels will interactively teach why these bug-eating bats need help from residents in return.
Families can view and listen to bats as they emerge from local bat houses, as well as participate
in a BATastic craft to show that bats are really our friends.
This free program, sponsored in partnership with the Friends of the Library of St. Johns County,
will also be possible to attend at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, at the Main Library, 1960 N.
Ponce De Leon Blvd., St. Augustine. For additional information, call 904.827.6900 or visit
