Today ends my week long introduction to St. Augustine readers. I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know me. Now to get a little more personal, I wanted to tell you about my connection with Florida. Part of it is chalk art. Part of it has to do with a tiny little place called Hallendale Florida. My parents and my only sibling and his wife live there. Well I should say that my bother and his wife live there in between traveling the world on cruise ships.
December 4th is my birthday. Some friends helped me buy a plane ticket to fly back to Florida to see my family as a birthday present. So I will be coming back very soon! My sister-in-law’s birthday is the day after mine. So it is a present for her as well! My brother and his wife are professional ballroom dancers. They travel on cruise ships, dancing, and getting to see the world with their beloved. I am very happy for my brother. When I go to visit I am going to get to see one of the cruise ships he works on for the first time, so I am really looking forward to it!
My parents are deliriously happy to be living in Florida and so close to my brother who helped convince them to come in the first place. We all used to live in Virginia. I am more healthy in Colorado. My parents are more happy in Florida. So Florida is a new satellite home for me. This is even more true now that I know how many chalk art festivals are in Florida!
On top of those two reasons, there is also you St. Augustine! I have read a bit of the articles since I started writing here. I think another trip is in order! I read the article on the haunted area in St. Augustine. One of my talents is also ghost busting. As a spiritual person, I am grounded in knowing who I am, and that I am connected with in my heart to the Divine. It is an essential part in dealing with things not quiet seen. That may be a whole other article!
Thank you for welcoming me to St. Augustine! Thank you for reading and sharing and tweeting these articles. Have a great weekend!
