Stealth SS Crossbow

Passing down the aisles of your local archery shop makes short work out of the shopping-for-dad process. And this year, I’m making it real easy. You see, with apologies to Donald Yetter Gardner, the fella who wrote a song about kids wanting their front teeth for Christmas, all I want for Christmas is a TenPoint crossbow.

Now, I’m not going to be too terribly picky about which one, but since you asked. I really have my eyes set on the TenPoint Stealth SS.

The first thing you notice is TenPoint’s sleek XLT bow assembly and how it’s combined with an FSB stock and the aircraft-grade fluted aluminum barrel. At 34 inches in length, it’s actually one of TenPoint’s shortest crossbows, and it’s compact, too, measuring just 17.5 inches uncocked or 13.5 inches cocked.

Even ol’ St. Nick would appreciate this horizontal bow. The Stealth SS weighs just 6.8 pounds, so its size, weight and superior maneuverability will appeal to those looking for user-friendly dynamite in a small package. Why did I say dynamite? The Stealth SS draws to 185 pounds with a 12.6-inch power stroke and sends a 370-grain Pro Lite Arrow downrange at 352 feet per second, with 102 foot pounds of kinetic energy.
