COMMUNITY FIRST CREDIT UNION’S “A DECEMBER TO REMEMBER”

RETURNS TO THE ST. AUGUSTINE AMPHITHEATRE AND PONTE VEDRA CONCERT HALL

St. Augustine, Fla.  – Community First Credit Union and the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division proudly announce the return of Community First Credit Union’s “A December To Remember” to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. Friday, November 28 marks the beginning the month-long series of family-friendly, community-based holiday festivities that will include free and ticketed concert events, free movie nights, a holiday revue, Santa appearances, train rides and much more!

This year’s Community First Credit Union’s “A December To Remember” is packed with exciting holiday events such as free movies screenings of beloved holiday films like “It’s A Wonderful Life”, “Home Alone”, “Miracle on 34th Street”, and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. There will be a free performance by Manhattan Transfer and a Rockapella Holiday Revue, a Children’s Storytime Reading and Elf Workshop, food trucks movie night, a production of “Yes, Viriginia” by Murray Middle School and more. Ticketed events include Daryl Hall & John Oates and Trampled By Turtles. A full schedule can be found on Page 2.

The Amphitheatre will be open to the public and fully decorated all month long with lights, festive décor, a holiday tree, an Elf Village and festive music. Families are invited to enjoy free train rides, visits with Santa, face-painting and a bounce house during the free holiday events held at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. All free, family-friendly events at the Amphitheatre are presented by Friends of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre (FOSAA).

For a complete listing of free and ticketed events, see the Calendar of Events on Page 2 or visit www.staugamphitheatre.com and www.facebook.com/adecembertoremember. Similar to last year, the St. Johns County community is an important focus for this year’s series. The St. Johns Cultural Events Division will be collecting non-perishable food items and new or gently used toys for distribution to local non-profit organizations at each event.

“We are so excited to announce the return of Community First Credit Union’s “A December To Remember”,” said St. Johns County Cultural Events Division General Manager Ryan Murphy. “Continuing the tradition of hosting free, family-friendly activities and to celebrate the holidays as a community is what makes this series so special. We are grateful for the support of Community First Credit Union and other generous sponsors such as the Friends of The St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Precision Turf for enabling us to provide the community with so many fun and free activities during the holidays.”

“Community First is proud to continue our support of this family-focused holiday celebration,” said John Hirabayashi, CEO and president of Community First. “We’re looking forward to building on the success of last year’s popular and well-attended events. We are honored to help present this treasured holiday gift.”

Haven’t you felt it too? Some strange inertia holding you back from that next realization that will give you the breakthrough financially? in your relationship, in your self worth and value? in meaningful work? … [Read More its Good For You...]

The folks in Washington didn't laugh much at my joke, and the jokes were about them. Now the folks in Colorado, they heard the same jokes, and they were hysterical with laughter. Now, I am not sure if this is because Coloradans think jokes … [Read More its Good for You...]

The Coach of the Year for the NFL?

The Coach of the Year for the NFL? ~Amy Lignor When it comes to the end…who will go to the Super Bowl, there are a great many scenarios out there that fans are screaming for. The most accepted seems to be for the AFC’s Broncos or Patriots to walk into Arizona and meet up with the NFC’s contender, which most people are hoping will be Dallas or Green Bay. Yes, the Seahawks are certainly in the right position to defend their title even though … [Read More its Good for You...]
