Christmas Special, Double Feature at The Barn Theater: A Mark Twain Christmas and Joseph – the Husband of Mary

A reviewer for The Record has called Robert Gill and Lee Weaver, “Two Giants of the St. Augustine Theater”. Independently their several solo performances have thrilled thousands of theater patrons.

Robert Gill, known for his remarkable One-Person presentations of Mark Twain and Henry Flagler and for his many exquisite Shakespearean portrayals, City Repertory Theater’s Art, and most recently CRT’s Pygmalion is, for this upcoming Christmas Season, teaming with Lee Weaver, an equally talented entertainer. Weaver is known locally for his Don Quixote, in The Limelight Theatre’s Man of La Mancha, his nationally-known (over 2000 performances) Three Men of the Bible and his recently acclaimed Piercing The Darkness.  Individually they have performed all over the country.

Now they are together. A Mark Twain Christmas with all the wit, humor, and wisdom we expect from Twain will be ACT I. In ACT II, Joseph – the Husband of Mary will take the audience through the First Christmas with all the attendant Angels, Shepherds and Wise Men; a familiar story told by one who was there!

This remarkable duo saves the best for last. In ACT III, they will banter with each other, pose questions of each other and invite input from, and discussion with, the audience. A theatrical first!

You can be a part of it! Make your reservations at The Pioneer Barn Theater at Fort Menendez (where Rte. 16 meets San Marcos Ave.) St Augustine, FL ; Dec. 21 and 22 at 7:30 pm and Sunday Dec. 23, matinee at 2 pm. Admission $20.
