OTTMAR LIEBERT & LUNA NEGRA ADDED TO PONTE VEDRA CONCERT HALL 2013 LINEUP

Flamenco guitarist and composer Ottmar Liebert and his band Luna Negra will perform at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall Tuesday, March 19, 2013.

Ottmar Liebert and his band Luna Negra formed in 1989 to the distinct New Flamenco sound. Their first recorded Marita: Shadows and Storms was a self-produced album. Higher Octave Music released a remade edition titled Nouveau Flamenco in 1990. The album went on to sell double-platinum in the United States and is recognized as one of the best-selling guitar albums of all time. Liebert’s albums Borrasca (1991), Solo Para Ti (1992), and The Hours Between Night + Day (1993), all earned Gold certification honors. Throughout his career, Ottmar has released 25 albums including his first solo guitar recording titled One Guitar in 1996. The latest release by Liebert and his band is titled Dune, and is influenced by their southwest border-country flamenco music style. He has received a total of 38 Gold and Platinum certifications in theUnited States and five Grammy nominations. He also received certifications inCanada,Australia, andNew Zealand. In 2006, Liebert was ordained as a Zen Monk by Dennis Genopo Merzel at theKanzeonZenCenter inSalt Lake City,Utah.

Tickets for this seated show will go on sale this Friday, November 23rd at10AM. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and St. Augustine Amphitheatre box offices, findmytix.com, and all Ticketmaster outlets.
