Linwood Barclay Thrills Readers With Trust Your Eyes
In this wonderful thriller, Ray Kilbride is on his way back to his hometown in order to attend his father’s funeral. Ray not 
only is dealing with the situation, but he is now also responsible for his younger brother, Thomas. Thomas is a schizophrenic who sits in front of a computer all day and is basically housebound. It will be Ray’s job to figure out what is the best path to take with Thomas’ medical care and future.
Discovering a website called Whirl360, Thomas soon becomes involved with this program that takes ‘users’ on trips around the world using street maps (familiar to Google Earth). Thomas soon feels as if he is actually on these trips and begins to check out many different streets in many different locations.
Although Ray is thinking about how Thomas will react living in a group home now that Dad is no longer around, Thomas grows to believe that he is actually employed by a government agency to memorize and store details of towns and cities across the globeinside his brain for future missions.
One day, when he’s surfing, Thomas sees a crime committed behind a window in New York City. Turns out the victim is very real; her name is Allison Fitch and she is both a waitress and a black-mailer. Now Thomas has a brand new problem to add to the ones in his already delusional world, and he finds himself drawn to New York to see what happened. Begging Ray to accompany him in order to look into this hideous crime, they set forth on a truly thrilling adventure where the thin line between real life and fantasy is hard to see.
Not only is this a perfect read for mystery and thriller fans, but it will also appeal to fans of the family saga. With a slew of tremendous surprises offered before the book comes to a close, this is truly a one-day read!
