Jonny Lang and Buddy Guy to Perform in St. Augustine in November
Blues legends Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang will perform at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Saturday, November 10th.
Buddy Guy is a legendary blues guitarist, hailing from Louisiana. Ranked 30th of the top 100 guitarists of all time by Rolling Stone magazine, Buddy Guy has been called the bridge between the blues and rock and roll. He is one of the historic links between Chicago electric blues pioneers Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf and popular musicians like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page as well as later revivalists like Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Jonny Lang is a Grammy Award-winning American blues, gospel, and rock singer, songwriter, guitarist and recording artist. Lang’s music is notable for both his unusual voice, which has been compared to that of a 40-year-old blues veteran, and for his guitar solos. His solo patterns have especially been noted for the constant use of wide vibratos.
