BetterWayHealth.com Says: Drink Your Vegetables!
BetterWayHealth.com is getting more and more inquiries as we move along in our ‘coverage’ of this incredible company. Yes, the first thing that everyone notices is the fact that this was the ‘brain-child’ of a man who was basically told by doctors that there, “was nothing they could do,” to help him. This man was strong, determined, and fought for his life – and won. Because of his hard journey, the rest of the world has learned some amazing information, received incredible guides on how to fight back, and are offered products that are the ‘best of the best’ when it comes to providing us all with a healthier life.
I can think back to the 80’s and remember the constant commercials for juicers. Remember those? The person would stand above the machine and throw in celery, tomatoes, pumpkin slices, etc., in order to give us all the perfect concoction that would make our lifestyle easier, help our hearts and control our weight. Well…although the infomercials have dissipated over the years, one thing has not; the extreme benefits of having a juicer in your own home.
Samson juicers are just one of the many products that are available at BetterWayHealth.com. And although we touched upon them briefly in another article regarding the immense list of companies that BetterWayHealth supports, we are now going to delve into the ‘why’s’ and ‘how’s’ of what juicing can do to elongate your life.
Many sites and people will tell you that three main reasons exist as to why you should incorporate vegetable juicing into any health program you maintain for yourself and your family.
The first is the fact that juicing helps you absorb ALL the nutrients from the vegetables. Most people have impaired digestion from the fact that places like McDonald’s exists; and, yes, we head into the drive-thru line when we know we shouldn’t. Because of these choices, there are limits to a body’s ability to absorb all the nutrients from the vegetables. Well, juicing helps people to “pre-digest,” so that organs can maintain the nutrients – absorb the nutrients – and help your body feel better.
Juicing is also the most efficient way to digest the minerals needed. There are, as we all know by now, ‘carb types’ who, because of their metabolism, should eat one pound of raw vegetables per 50 pounds of body weight per day. Now, seriously, that’s a lot of vegetables to consume and pretty much impossible for a person on the ‘go.’ Therefore, by simply drinking a glass of vegetable juice you can solve that problem immediately.
You can also – and this is very important – add a full variety of vegetables into your diet by juicing. People usually eat the same vegetables every day in their salads or at snack time. There is no ‘mesh’ to give all the nutrients necessary. But you actually NEED food rotation because if you eat the ‘same-old, same-old’ all the time your chance of developing an allergy to a certain food increases. With juicing, a wide variety of vegetables can be implemented that you may not normally enjoy eating whole. But when they are combined, they taste great.
Always remember that vegetable juice is never a complete meal. There is very little protein and virtually no fat so, by itself, its not enough. Juicing is something to use in addition to your regular meals not as a substitute for them. The ‘ideal’ is to have it as a beverage with your meal, or as a snack.
Another point that everyone should remember is, listen to your own body – it will tell you what you like and what it needs. If your stomach is growling, you probably juiced something you should not be eating. Or, you have taken an overabundance of one specific vegetable, so make sure you adapt to your own needs.
Here are just a few brief things to remember when it comes to juicing:
Try to go organic as much as possible. Some vegetables are absolutely loaded with pesticides, so be careful what you’re putting into your body at all times. (Celery and Cucumbers are big favs when it comes to vegetables, but they are also the ones most loaded with pesticides, so try to find and use only organically-grown choices).
Make the juice taste great by adding herbs, spices, etc. Even try lemons, limes, cranberries – these are definite ‘additions’ that will make your juice taste better than a Coca-Cola any day of the week. On a side note, cranberries are fantastic. They have five times the antioxidant content of broccoli, which means they may protect against cancer, stroke and heart disease – can you imagine that? Something you like to eat anyway? And drink your juice right away or make sure to keep it refrigerated and stored correctly. You always want these concoctions to taste great!
Okay…weight loss. That is the biggest issue that absolutely everyone talks about in this world. We’re all getting heavier – even people who are working out and do have a health plan ‘stray.’ Think about it. Vacations, getaways, romantic Italian dinners, running around for the ‘job’ and limiting the time it takes to actually consume a healthy meal when a drive-thru is simply faster…all of this happens to EVERYONE. Juicing not only provides the vitamins and minerals needed, but it is also extremely beneficial when it comes to weight loss and improved overall health.
Not only do vegetables and fruit help the body, however, they also help the mind ten-fold. Your brain needs nutrients, and there are products that actually help everything from stamina to increasing memory. Kale, carrots and oranges are just a few items that are beneficial in slowing down the aging process – while parsley, spinach and asparagus help anemia. And the list goes on and on.
With juicing, the myriad of artificial sugars, toxic ingredients and fats go right out the window. And, really, those sweet cravings and overeating is the body’s way of letting you know that it doesn’t need a Big Mac – what it needs are the nutrients that it’s lacking. Vitamins, proteins, live enzymes and trace elements found in fresh juice give the body ALL the nutrients it needs to reach an optimum level which will immediately reduce cravings and overeating.
In the end, it’s true – the simplest answer IS the right one. Don’t spend billions of dollars on ‘get slim quick’ schemes. Your body needs your help and YOU need that body to stay in shape and keep ticking for as long as possible!
Always remember! There IS a Better Way!
