Red wine in a paper-thin glass, bare feet pressed onto a sandy beach, fragments of tile on a patio floor, dramatic and elegant rooms, the faceof a French chalet, and the radiant fire of a candle represent the typical subjects painted by Shubert.

According to Shubert, her work is dominated by studies of figures and environments. “The viewer will see that I paint torsos beginning at the neck, ending above the knees or at the foot. This enables me to integrate figures and physical space into my work as patterns of colors, textures andshapes,” Shubert said. “My subjects are treated with functional anonymity, yet are true and accurate. The paintings convey a sense of wellbeing, of the good life and of deep and quiet pleasures,” she said.

Shubert was born in Durham, North Carolina, raised in Florida and Spain, and at a young age chose art as a career. Laura received a B.F.A. from Southern Methodist University where she studied painting, drawing and printmaking. Shortly after, she studied painting at the Academie Port Royal in Paris. Her work can be found in private and corporate collections in the United States and abroad, and is exhibited in several galleries throughout the United States. Laura Lacambra Shubert resides in Winter Park, Florida.

Esler’s work is figurative with landscapes, cityscapes, as wellas still life subjects and the natural interaction of people and how they communicate with body language. Her vivid palette, impasto textures andexpressionist spirit result in energetic canvases that reflect a sense of joiede vivre.

One of Georgia’ smost exciting emerging artists, Esler’s works are cutting-edge fresh, yet classical in style.
