Casting Director Jason La Padura Heads to Jacksonville to Teach The Art of the Audition and Cold Reading Techniques

Sound Tree Entertainment is pleased to announce that LA-based casting director, Jason La Padura (www.JasonLaPadura.com), is coming to Jacksonville on Saturday, March 24th to teach two acting workshops.

LaPadura will be teaching The Art of the Audition and Cold Reading Techniques, which will teach you how to make the most of your audition and leave a lasting impression. Talent will learn the common problems faced in the audition process, both “live” and recorded, and how to overcome these challenges. In the afternoon, Jason will be teaching Acting for Film and Television on Camera. This session will teach you the right skills to develop your screen presence. The class helps actors of all ages strengthen their confidence and develop their unique self image. Talent will spend time reviewing improvisation, delivery, concentration, speech and characterization.

LaPadura has cast for such Disney films including “Camp Rock” and “High School Musical”, plus many network shows including “Heroes” and “Criminal Minds”. He has also cast Texas born actress Amber Heard in the NBC show “The Playboy Club.” Amber is a superstar that was discovered by Gregory James Blount while he was producing the 2003 ELLEgirl Model Search. Amber’s latest film was “The Rum Diary” opposite Johnny Depp, which came out this past October, and is now available on DVD. LaPadura’s latest project is the new FOX show with Kiefer Sutherland, called “TOUCH”, which is receiving rave reviews.
