St Augustine and Ripley’s Believe It or Not to Host Trashy Fashion Week
Join Ripley’s Believe It or Not in St Augustine for a fashion show that will prove to be quite trashy. In an effort to help promote “creative recycling,” Ripley’s is looking for the best outfit and artwork made out of trash! On Saturday, March 24th, we will host a “Trashy Fashion Show” at 2:00 PM at Ripley’s Museum at 19 San Marco Ave. Men, women and children are welcome to participate.
The best outfit will be selected in three age categories: Children 5- 12, teens 13-17 and Adults 18 and above. The winner of each division will receive $100 cash and four combo passes for Ripley’s museum, Red Trains, Ghost Train Adventure and Bayfront mini golf. All participants will be invited to visit Ripley’s free of charge on the day of the event.

Also on Saturday, there will also be a “Trashy Art” show. Bring us your art made of household trash! The winners of the show will have their piece on display at Ripley’s museum for a month and receive $100 cash and four Ripley combo passes. We will announce two winners for the art show, one in the youth division – ages 5-12, and a 13 and up winner.
Anyone donating gently used clothing for recycling at the museum or any Red Train depot between March 20 and March 25 will also receive a $5 discount on admission to Ripley’s Museum, Ripley’s Red Trains or Ripley’s Ghost Train Adventure.
There is no fee to participate, but prior registration is required for the fashion show. To register, please e-mail your name and details to kkiff@ripleys.com. For more information on the show, please follow our facebook page at www.facebook.com/staugustineripleys or www.facebook.com/redtrains.
