Mythica: Grateful for Life

This continues my week of gratitude. One of the reasons I am such a happy go lucky person is because I have had more than one near death experience. Now I am not talking close calls. I am talking full, leave your body, facing the end of your body working, near death experiences. So even on the worse day of my life my response is, ‘well at least I woke up on the right side of the ground today!’

I am grateful for being alive. I was told as a kid I wouldn’t live to see my 21st birthday. Where as most people see growing older as life being stolen or taken away from them, I see every day I get to live past 21 as a bonus day. It’s a pretty cool way to see and experience the world.

One of my friends called me up for some advice the other day. She was struggling with her life, and her priorities. She talked about wasting time and being distracted. I was clear with her, and let me be clear with you. There is no part of your life that is a waste. It is a moment that lead you to the next living moment, and without it, you would be dead. Every breath we draw is precious, without exception. Every moment of life is amazing. Reminds me of a quote I’d like to share with you:

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ~ Albert Einstein

Because of my experiences I am aware of the preciousness and the delicate balance that allows me to be alive. For me, I am grateful because everything is a miracle. My gift to you is simply to share my experience, so that when you read the quote, the later can become true for you.
