Canine Dimensions - The Ultimate Dog-Training Program
Everyone’s best friend; a friend that ‘gifts’ humans with their unending spirit, wisdom, loyalty and dependability – every characteristic that adds enjoyment, love, and comfort to our existence. The benefits of having a dog – a true companion – are never ending and incredibly necessary in our daily lives.
Last week we introduced one and all to a fascinating company called, Canine Dimensions, and the response was absolutely phenomenal. Canine Dimensions In-Home Dog Training is a company that was formed to make sure that your best friend receives the best obedience training possible.
The amazing part of our introduction was the fact that Canine Dimensions is one of the very few companies that was created with heart and soul, and not just the ever-present search for the almighty dollar. And because of the fact that a man by the name of Phil Guida owned this incredible heart and soul, the modern and proven science of holistic dog training came into being. For a brief recap, this ‘explorer’ took his years of study and incorporated the very best aspects of dog training programs with a truly innovative and intuitive methodology based on the observations of how dogs communicate with one another. The result was a three-phase dog training model which has become a most powerful ‘system’ that provides extremely fast results. The wealth of services that Canine Dimensions provides to dog owners is immense, and the other incredible aspect of this company is the fact that YOU are able to become a part of it. You are able to utilize your skills, talents, beliefs, and heart to bring Canine Dimensions into your state, city and community.
Once a month, we will be introducing readers to yet another franchisee who joined the Canine Dimensions program because they felt that the custom in-home dog training system was the best possible system to learn and institute. This month, we are shining the spotlight on the Regional Training Director – Maryanne Wood, CDBA – located in the state of Vermont. Maryanne has been kind enough to share her remarkable story, and the reasons behind why she wanted nothing more than to become a franchisee of a company that is capable of doing so much for our beloved canine companions.
Maryanne purchased the franchise for the state of Vermont in September of 2009. She had been looking for an opportunity to work with animals, but never really felt that she would find anything to suit her passion beyond volunteering for local animal groups, such as shelters, rescues, or helping friends with their own animals.
The previous Fall, Maryanne had suffered a tragic loss when her younger sister passed away from breast cancer. After that, life began to change, and she and her husband sold their business. This was a ‘dark’ time where Maryanne was feeling truly lost, and completely unsure of what her future was going to be. The one thing she did know was that her dogs – her friends – helped her through these seriously trying times. She had owned dogs her entire life and always had a strong connection with them. Looking back, she now realizes that all her experiences with dogs were leading her to her one true calling…dog training.
Less than two months before her sister passed away she had asked Maryanne if she would become the guardian of her two Bassett Hounds and give them a good home. Now Maryanne already had a dog of her own, and was slightly concerned about integrating another dog into her rather small household. Of course the answer to her sister’s request was ‘yes,’ and the two Hounds were soon sent from California to Vermont on a cargo plane in crates. What began as a worry turned out to be a true blessing in her life, and she was honored that her sister had chosen her to be their new human companion.
It was only a few months later that Maryanne truly began to focus on a new career path. Each day she would send a silent message to the universe telling whoever was listening that she wanted to work with animals, and dogs in particular. Maryanne believed that if she wanted it badly enough, something good would happen.
Sitting down one day in front of the computer, Maryanne decided to Google ‘dog training’ and see what, if anything, came up, Lo and behold, a message flashed on the screen introducing, Canine Dimensions, and announcing that dog training franchises were available in Vermont. When Maryanne saw this information she knew automatically that someone had heard her pleas, and that the message that’d been sent was intended just for her. She could feel her beloved sister cheering her on, as she contacted Phil Guida immediately.
After discussing the specifics, and learning about the incredible work that Canine Dimensions was doing, Maryanne never looked back; she knew in her heart that this was the perfect opportunity for her, and the exact thing she’d been waiting to appear.
Maryanne’s message to this writer is that she absolutely loves dog training! “Not many people get to realize their dream at 50,” Maryanne remarked. “I am truly blessed and greatly thankful. Phil is a tremendous person. He knows his stuff, he’s always available to help, and has a wonderful way of bringing the best out in all of his franchisees. I am always amazed at the synchronicity of life: I was looking to realize my dream and Phil was looking to share his. How great is that!”
Maryanne has amazing stories and memories of her own beloved dogs, including a very special one by the name of, King. King was a disabled ten-year-old Rottweiler mix whose owner had passed away. Instead of languishing in a shelter, this three-legged guy found a safe haven in Maryanne’s home where he lived out the remainder of his days in peace.
Dog training just added one more component to a life that Maryanne feels so blessed to have. Living in the stunning Green Mountain State of Vermont, she is surrounded by nature. Nature is made up of components that make up a magnificent ‘whole,’ proving that the universe is a beautiful balancing act. As Maryanne has observed and worked with her dogs over the years, it has become very evident that they instinctively realize their place in nature. Dogs have so much to teach about the world around us, if we only open our hearts and minds to them.
Another fantastic opportunity is when Maryanne was selected as one of only thirty-three people from across the United States to join the Behavioral Observation Team at the International Wolf Center in Ely, Minnesota. Dogs share many of the same traits as their wolf relatives, so participation in this project gave her an even greater understanding of canine behavior.
Graduating with ‘high distinction’ as a Certified Dog Behavior Advisor from Canine Dimensions, Maryanne then completed her internship by participating in the rehabilitation of fearful and aggressive dogs at her local shelter outreach program. She is recognized by both of the nation’s most prestigious dog training associations: the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the International Association of Canine Professionals; and, is also certified by the American Kennel Club as a CGC evaluator.
In the end what readers, and people who are seriously interested in becoming a franchisee with Canine Dimensions should take away from this incredible story, are the words Maryanne used when describing her feelings towards being a Canine Dimensions franchisee: She was looking to realize her dream and Phil Guida was looking to share his. More poignant words have never been spoken.
The Canine Dimensions dog training method brings harmony to the human-dog relationship while building confidence and trust along the way. If YOU want to become a professional dog trainer, the Canine Dimensions franchise program can get you started in as little as 90-days. Like Maryanne and so many others, being a part of this incredible company instills in you a sense of pride that you have been a vital part of helping people train, love and, in some cases, heal their ‘best friend.’
With the Canine Dimensions dog training franchise system, you’ll learn everything you need to know in order to earn a good living. But, even more importantly, you will receive huge emotional and personal rewards in this challenging field. The expenses are almost miniscule when held up next to other franchises; the start-up costs for a Canine Dimensions dog training franchise are far less because you can run the company from the comfort of your home, automatically eliminating any extra expenses.
If you’re attempting to realize your dream of working with the animals you care so deeply about, contact Canine Dimensions. This is the one career path that will challenge, excite, and bring success to your life in so many ways!
