Live Your Passion!

As a writer I completely understand the need – not the want, the NEED – to follow the dream that lies inside your soul and to be able to work at what you love to do.  It’s almost as if deep inside you can feel the fact that you were born to do a certain thing with your life, and you HAVE to do just that.  In fact, life without passion is simply a great big waste of time.  Now, of course, the world and issues of life make it almost impossible for a great many people to be able to live their passion, but it’s in there…waiting.

Listening to Jayden Morris - his CD, as well as his recent radio interview with wisdom–radio, I heard in Jayden Morris’ voice how very deeply he feels about his music.  This is not some star who simply became a star because they did something dumb and ended up in tabloid heaven.  Jayden Morris is one of those rare creatures who love what they do.  Although he has had a career in male-modeling, about three years ago he threw himself into his dream, and hasn’t looked back since.

Jayden Morris speaks honestly and forthrightly about not rushing your vision.  He believes that you must take your time – do it correctly- and, most importantly, do not ever allow negativity or others opinions to bring you down or make you quit.  As writers already know, with agent and publisher rejection letters, there are a great many who simply will not offer up the time to listen to what a particular artist has to say.  But if everyone followed the stellar and brutally honest words of Jayden Morris, every dream could become a reality.  Jayden Morris proclaims to the rooftops that one must LIVE THEIR PASSION, and he truly does not allow ANY negativity or doubt to enter into his world.

That passion, belief, and utter drive that Jayden Morris owns rings out loud and clear in his voice as it flows through the microphone.  In fact, audiences and readers have already commented quite forcefully that Jayden Morris has completely captivated them!

I am reminded a great deal of the famous and amazing balladeers of long ago when I hear Jayden Morris.  He has many sides to his music – a vibe that can be pop or edgy, with full-fledged beat that keeps listeners and fans on their toes.  BUT, one of the greatest assets of Jayden Morris is the fact that he can write and perform ballads that other singers just can not accomplish.  Ballads are art.  Ballads are musical poetry that can make the heart stop and tears come to the eyes as memories flow through the listener.  Ballads offer words of hope, inspiration, love, faith, romance – poetry that focuses on every subject of humanity.  A ballad is the story of life – an epic tale of the beauty and promise that the world provides.  And in the darkest of times (which a great many Americans are experiencing right now) a ballad can come along and turn a truly horrific day into one of absolute peace and pleasure.

Jayden Morris is that man – that riveting singer who can deliver the ballads that break the heart and intrigue the senses.  I have to say that one very grand example where Jayden Morris is concerned, is a song he created and recorded in only three hours.  The ballad is called “The Day You Gave Me a Son,” and is one of the many outstanding tracks on Jayden’s CD – Beyond.  Jayden Morris acted as a historian when it came to this ballad.  Of course, a very large event had just happened in his life as he looked down at his son for the very first time.  But he did something that not many do.  He rushed to get this ballad – this moment in time – recorded, so that those emotions would be available for him and his son to listen to at any point in the future.  What Jayden Morris also did, thankfully, was allow these deep emotions to be gifted to his listeners, and the song is beyond remarkable.

As Jayden Morris has said in many interviews, it all comes from the heart.  When he is performing, Jayden says that the ballads are very important to him.  He loves to sing ballads and allow his audience to see and feel the beauty and heartfelt emotions he has for his subject.  In fact, as Jayden Morris has said, when a listener hears one of his ballads it informs them completely of who, exactly, Jayden Morris is and what he’s all about.

I have spoken before about the class and elegance that Jayden Morris emits to his listeners.  Jayden Morris can break out of the mold, and take the time and energy that is SO necessary to create words that are beyond memorable, and put them to music that stays in the heart and head for a very long time.  When I was lucky enough to interview Jayden myself, he spoke about the creation of Beyond:

I chose the name, BEYOND because it was a new moment in my life – I wanted to go beyond – head toward a new future.  If you look at the pictures of my album you will see a bridge I am passing over, and a road in Australia where there is no end…hence, BEYOND.

All Jayden Morris fans can be incredibly thankful that he decided to head down the path that held his true passion.  The journey is long, but the only thing that can stop anyone from achieving their dream, is themselves.  Without belief and faith in ourselves no one can go further.  And, as you listen to everything Jayden Morris sings, the belief he has in himself is not an issue.  He refuses to allow self-limiting beliefs or negativity to take one step into his world, and listeners are benefiting ten-fold from his amazing hard work and dedication.

If the occupants of this world were able to cast all doubt away and go for the dream they have living inside of them – just waiting to see the light – than this world would be a far better place for us all!
