Prominent St. Augustine Goldsmith Joel Bagnal has accepted membership in the newly formed Aviles Street Gallery, a fine art gallery at 11-C Aviles Street. Recognized as one of the oldest streets in America’s oldest city, the innovative new gallery is within walking distance to the Plaza and famed Bridge of Lions in the heart of the City’s historic district. A collection of Bagnal’s distinctively designed jewelry will be featured at the June 4th First Friday Art Walk.
Bagnal, M.Ed., M.F.A., has been a practicing goldsmith for over 30 years. He is a National Endowment for the Arts Craftsmen’s Grant recipient, founded academic metalsmithing programs at Cedar Crest College, Allentown, and Boston University. He owned and operated Joel Bagnal, Goldsmith, in Wellesley and Concord, Massachusetts. Specializing in custom wedding rings, his unique fingerprint jewelry, and designing to the special needs of his clients for any special occasion, he will present a retail collection of earrings and pendants, and show a portfolio of design drawings and previous work at the Aviles Street Gallery.
