~WALK WITH ME…~ ON MY WAY HOME…

THE PATH TO AND FROM AND THE ADVENTURES IN BETWEEN…

Welcome weary mortals, labored journeymen and everyone else I may meet on this trek. You have found your way to my shaded little corner of the world and I bid you humble thanks and welcome.

For those of you who have never ventured these halls, I do hope that your stay is a pleasant and fulfilling one.

As many of you know, I have returned to my roots of self publishing. Gone are the headaches and worry I endured as a traditionally published author. Taking back control of my life is just one of my many resolves to date.

Resolves, you ask? Yep…new resolves.

With many new books on the market–and more upcoming-as well as many other, varied projects ongoing and upcoming, (not to mention my two magazines, which are busier than ever) I have done more in just the few years since my works first landed on the market in 2005, than most authors do in a lifetime of writing.

For that, I am humbled, I am grateful and I am eternally devoted to those that have made me what I am…my fans.

I have reached a pinnacle in my career…and I am in demand more than ever. With that in mind, gone are the days of “manic con attendance” which was my attending every single event that asked me to appear.

I hate to refuse any appearance and anyone who knows me knows I am NOT a snob, but you will see my list of events becoming much shorter. I have simply decided to be very choosy about what events I attach my name to.

For those of you who follow my career, including following me from convention to convention, thank you! You are the reason that I am in such great demand.

For the conventions (you know who you are) that gave me a chance to shine when my name wasn’t what it is today…my schedule will always be open to you no matter how much success I attain.

If I no longer attend a convention at which you are accustomed to seeing me, I apologize and hope to see you at another event.

Also, if I ask to attend your event, take that as an extreme compliment because it is something I rarely do any longer.

I simply don’t have to.

I am being asked to attend conventions, book signings and make appearances all over the world, and that is a nice feeling.

I have worked very hard to get where I am now and it is time that I chose to enjoy life…and the stardom that few independent authors who have taken such a maverick and “do it my own way” approach as I have, get to experience.

My hard work is never done…but after working so hard…I can now work smarter, rather than harder.

Shadowed Graces…

Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc
