Vanity Doesn’t Count When You’re Taking Care of Yourself

by Samantha Lewis

Vanity may be considered a sin, but when it comes to taking time out just for yourself in order to feel and look better, any guilt that comes from vanity should be set aside.

There is a reason why women (and men, according to the escalating numbers), scream out the words: SPA DAY! It’s not that anyone is trying to be vain; the joy simply comes from the fact that you can let go of the 9-to-5 burden for a little while and simply relax.

Vanity also goes out the window when speaking about getting a facial or a massage, because these are areas of science that are actually massageluxe_3healthy for all of us. Bones, muscles and joints can suffer severe harm from daily life, and having the ability to receive treatments – from saunas to a well-earned massage to facials – helps elongate our lives.

Relaxation is the release of stress or pain. Facials help the skin – which is, by the way, the largest part of our bodies – to stay firm, offer better protection from harmful pollutants and solar rays, and more.

Now there are a variety of spa treatments out there, which means the person seeking the relaxation must be careful about which technique they choose. MassageLuXe and its sister company, FaceLuXe have become THE choice for the health and beauty industry simply because of the fact that the treatments offered are state-of-the-art. Customer satisfaction has also been a key to the ‘LuXe’ companies reaching the top of the industry. And with a menu of services longer than your arm, the ‘LuXe’ duo make sure to provide all the techniques you’re looking for.

Spas have been around since ancient times. There are even hieroglyphics to prove that ancient saunas and steam baths were used by the first AMA members to help their colonies and cities feel better. China, as we all know, practiced the art of acupressure for eons in order to promote relaxation and wellness, as well as to treat disease.

A serene ‘5-star’ atmosphere that shows relaxed people enjoying the ‘spa’ life are the pictures that appear in magazines across the imagescountry. And this art form – this science that most people will call a splurge – has turned into a multi-billion-dollar industry for a reason. Day spas, weekend spas, weeklong spa getaways – these are not silly vacations; they are actually growing exponentially because of the fact that relaxation is the one and only thing that can cure many diseases, as well as help our bodies maintain fitness.

One-quarter of all American adults (approximately 57 million), plus 4 million teens, have visited a spa at least once in their life. And, let’s face it, when the service is as amazing as what MassageLuXe and FaceLuXe provide, that one visit turns into one a week or one a month at least 99.9% of the time.

Stress reduction and relief; soothing sore joints and muscles; feeding into overall health; receiving psychological and mental benefits because of the tension-relief – all of these are benefits of Spa Day!

And even though many will not understand this particular statement, doctors say that physical contact is necessary to our overall well-being. Shaking hands, getting a hug from a friend, receiving a pat on the back, being given a neck or back massage – all of these cause the body to feel better. And at the spa, the professional who’s there doing their work (perfect work when it comes to the skilled staff at the ‘LuXe’ companies), offers that touch and pampering that’s necessary to better the states of both mind and body.

Feeling better and looking better makes you feel better about yourself. That’s a fact. With a happier state of mind you can work harder, laugh louder and look into that mirror once in a while to see your skin glow because you’re taking far better care of yourself.

Utilize Spa Day at the ‘LuXe’ companies and treat yourself to a little vanity; you’ll be more than happy that you did!
