Florida East Coast: Selections from the Guidi Collection Exhibition
This exhibition showcases a selection of works from the Guidi Collection that highlights depictions of the Florida East Coast over the years. The paintings, ranging from the late 1880s until the 1970s, include idealized images of Florida’s natural landscape, along with paintings of St. Augustine architecture that still exists today. This show will be on exhibit through June 15. Ancient Dunes Trail Hike
Enjoy a guided hike through ancient dunes shaded by a maritime hammock at Anastasia State Park from 10-11 a.m. Discover the park’s natural communities while exploring this unique trail. Please meet at the Hilltop Picnic Area, near the parking lot, and we will walk into the hammock together. Suggested items to bring are binoculars, comfortable walking shoes, a camera, drinking water, bug spray and sunscreen. Women’s Golf Day
Women’s Golf Day is a global golf initiative launched in 2016 to introduce women of all ages to the game and encourage existing female golfers to get out and play in a fun and highly inclusive environment. She Is Fierce! Women’s Wednesday Speaker Series
Get inspired by the stories of women who have been through it all and came out the other side triumphant. Speakers share their personal stories of struggle, triumph and all the little moments to cherish in between. Music by the Sea Concert
This free weekly concert series at the St. Johns County Pier features a wide variety of musical genres from 7-9 p.m. Bring a beach chair or blanket along with a favorite beverage and get ready to dance. Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and the Colonial Oak Music Park have teamed up again to provide the free Summer Movie Series at the Colonial Oak Music Park. This week’s movie, which begins at 8:30 p.m., is Breaking Legs – High School Dance Movie. The Red Train will offer complimentary shuttles from Ripley’s to St. George St. starting at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a pick up on the north end of St. George St. following the film to return to Ripley’s. Anastasia State Park will host an educational Bird Walk Program from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Meet the birds at Anastasia State Park on this monthly bird walk. Participants will observe a diverse variety of shore birds, marsh birds and hammock birds by walking the beach, boardwalks, nature trails and other areas. Dress for the weather and bring binoculars, water, comfortable walking shoes and a field guide. Meet at the Island Beach Shop & Grill pavilion located at the end of the main park drive. Ride the Tide
Join Ocean Extreme Sports for a fun stand-up paddleboard ride on the tide. The paddle will depart from the 206 Bridge at 11 a.m. and paddle south on the Intracoastal Waterway with the outgoing tide to Matanzas Inlet. The paddle will take about 3 hours. The cost is $60 if rental equipment is required and $25 if you have your own equipment. Shuttle between start point and end point and t-shirt included in registration. All participants must have a life jacket, whistle and leash. Family Art Workshop
Vilano Beach Art Programs offers an instructional art session for the entire family at the North Shore Improvement Association Community Center on Vilano Beach. From 2-4 p.m., local artist Sarah Carrigan provides individuals and families with art project instruction to take home. Painting to tie dying, each month a different type of art is featured. Some art supplies are provided. The family rate is $40 for non-members or $25 for members.
