The Artistry of the King & Prince Resort

The Artistry of the King & Prince Resort

We all have the artist inside. Whether we express the creativity by listening to the beauty of the ‘Phantom’ whisper Music of the Night in our ear, or by setting up an easel and attempting to capture the one perfect sunrise that no one has ever seen, the artistry lives in the soul. Perhaps you are the writer; the one who stares, studies, and searches every nook and cranny for the perfect ‘muse’ that will bring about the next great fairytale. Whatever it may be, there is only one place for the imagination. There is only one sight to behold that will bring together the heart, mind and soul as one…a true Paradise on Earth.

The King and Prince Resort offers everything that a visitor would want. Among a list of amazing accommodations to choose from is the Tower Room – a room that holds the magic, romance and mystery for any and all creative minds.

Nature surrounds you…

Dolphins ride the waves, frolicking beside your path as you walk, bike, or play on the beach surrounded by serenity. You can enjoy a day in the sun playing in the surf, flying kites, searching for silver dollars and  viewing the endless beauty of the Island, before heading to the Ocean Terrace Grille for a delicious outdoor dining experience. Whether a casual poolside lunch or dining on the terrace, there’s always a way to sit back and enjoy nature while being pampered at the King and Prince.

Legend surrounds you…

When you are embraced by the majesty of the Tower Room, or open your balcony door, you will feel as if you’re on top of the world; you can almost sense the legends and hear the past. By being in the King and Prince, you stand in the middle of history. You can imagine those first visitors in 1935 as they came in droves to enjoy the seaside dance club; you will sense the feel the pride and loyalty when, in the 1940s, the King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort  served as a naval coast-watching and training facility during World War II.

And when you step outside the next day, after an amazing breakfast at The King’s Tavern, you can hop on the St. Simon’s Trolley and head to the historic Lighthouse. You can embark on a tour that will bring you into the intriguing and mystical Christ Church, which traces its origins all the way back to 1776. The magnificent wooded grounds enclose a cemetery of the earliest settlers to St. Simon’s – settlers that have tales to tell of battles, life and love. Then on to Fort Frederica for a history lesson to the extreme, where you will learn the monumental place this island holds in American history. From outdoor activities to the numerous unique shops and art galleries, a tour of St. Simons is an experience you will want for days on end.

Kindness surrounds you…

With a staff of amazing, friendly people who wish nothing more than for you to have the vacation of a lifetime, you will be constantly pampered. From massages to relaxing with coffee in the elegant solarium before heading out for the evening to the oceanfront Delegal Room – the historic centerpiece of the Resort – featuring original stained glass panoramas depicting scenes from St. Simons rich history and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean…everything at the King and Prince is sheer perfection, and the staff offers nothing but warmth and charm.

And the Oscar Goes To…

And the Oscar Goes To… by Amy Lignor   When it comes to the Oscars, the word “upset” is used almost every year. In at least one category, usually the supporting actor or actress role, there is more often than not a huge surprise when it comes to the winner. However, when you look back at the awards season thus far, it seems that the same names keep coming up again and again, with no upset in sight. What became mostly a surprise … [Read More its Good for You.....]

History Being Sold to the Highest Bidder

History Being Sold to the Highest Bidder by Amy Lignor   For the longest time, scientists and archaeologists have been confused and bemused by various discoveries they’ve unearthed that offer little or no explanation as to the who, what, and why of the people who created these things or left them behind. Even now, in 2017, there are discoveries being studied; stories that were once legends now have actual bits of proof being found that … [Read More its Good for You.....]

ChatterBaits a Key for Early Season Bass

ChatterBaits a Key for Early Season Bass When the ChatterBait bladed jig burst onto the scene in 2006, many anglers considered it another ‘flash in the pan’ lure that would quickly slide off the radar, as seems to be so common in the fishing world.  However, over the last ten years, this unique spinner/jig hybrid has carved out a permanent spot in the tackle boxes of most serious bass anglers and has repeatedly been a top producer in … [Read More its Good for You...]

Looking Forward to the NFL’s “Top” Free Agents by Amy Lignor   Now that the Patriots have (once again) walked away with the Super Bowl title, it is time that the NFL teams focus on the draft and what free agents they need to most definitely keep on their roster.
