New Vest Raises Treestand Safety

For starters, the high-performance zippered vest features the new Realtree Xtra® pattern – a warm 3D pattern perfect for early season fall or spring foliage. But the beauty of the Elite goes far beyond it appearance. It’s smartly designed, with no dangling straps to catch or buckles to create unwanted stand clatter. This is a true hunter’s dream that allows easier motion with a minimum of restriction, so sudden noises are minimized. And unlike earlier generations of safety vests, which were bulky, stiff and many found uncomfortable, the Elite fits close to the body. It’s crafted in a Comfort Cool fabric that’s easy to wear.

Noise in the stand is minimized with a wealth of covered closures and padding. The Elite sports a patented HSS system harness with a newly designed tether strap that’s more shock absorbent. Its two-way, easy-out zipper protects the waist buckle, reducing the clatter caused by equipment like binoculars, whistles or cell phones. And because the tether is enveloped in high-performance smart fabrics that are durable and silent, the wearer can count on stand experience that’s quieter. That means fewer lost shots when game is startled.

Coverage in the Right-Fit zone keeps the Elite snug and smooth for hunters of all sizes and body types. The shoulder area features a unique silicone print with a textured surface that keeps backpacks and slings from slipping while walking in the field. And for the hunter who keeps a lot of gear close at hand (don’t they all?), the Elite will not disappoint. It boosts a unique Six-Plus-TwoTM pocket design comprised of two large bellows pockets with magnetic closures, a pair of divider pockets to keep gear separated and quiet, plus two pockets that provide easy access to such field essentials as mouth calls or cell phones.

Field testers report that everything about the Elite is an improvement over other, older designs. Even putting it on is easy. The hunter simply slips both arms through the vest, connects the waist buckle, routes the leg straps between the legs, connects the Power Lock buckles on the leg straps, and then zips up.
