The St. Johns County Family Integrity Program (FIP) is conducting pre-service training classes for anyone interested in becoming a foster parent from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. beginning Monday, January 14, 2013 through April 1, 2013. These educational classes offer a challenging yet fun approach to learning the demands and rewards of serving as a foster care parent.
Anyone interested in becoming a foster parent, or learning of other ways they can help, is invited to attend FIP’s interactive orientation from 6:30 – 8 pm on Monday, January 7, 2013 at the Health and Human Services Building, 1955 US 1 South, St. Augustine. The orientation is aimed at providing insight about day to day service as a licensed foster care parent as well as information about the
different types of foster care, requirements for licensure, and the client base FIP serves.
As part of their mission in serving St. Johns County’s dependent children, the FIP continuously seeks prospective foster home parents
who wish to offer care and support for our County’s dependent children and families in crisis. Please contact Joy Meyerpeter at 209-6131 if you have any questions, or visit www.sjcfl.us/fip for more information.
