Social Media is the Goliath in the Small Business World

Social Media is the Goliath in the Small Business World

Social media is global; this is a fact. But when dissecting the world of social networks – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, mobile apps, and so on – there is a certain country that is far ahead of the pack when it comes to usage and building business.

Looking at all maps, studies, research facts and figures – it is the U.S.A. that not only utilizes social media more than any other country, but also brings loyal consumers to a company and their product because of fantastic social media campaigns.

As a U.S. consumer who believes in the world of social media when it comes to finding the ultimate brand or product, I have to say this information does not surprise. Perhaps it’s because we recently celebrated our country (or, perhaps it’s because it’s the absolute truth), but growing up in the United States and being educated here did put that core of belief (and a bit of arrogance) in me that makes me state that this country is the ‘best of the best.’

We have companies that are truly dedicated to the finest quality materials, most affordable prices, and the ability to reach all consumers out there and bring about economic recovery. Yes, we lost ground in various areas over time, but more and more small businesses are coming up in the ranks.

There are many reasons as to why this is occurring, but the biggest reason is the understanding and belief in social media. A fantastic social media/PR team knows how to help a small business. While the owner is tending to the other millions of things they need to do in order to succeed, a social media/PR team handles the rest.

The entrepreneur needs to be aided by a social media team with knowledge and experience. They need to have that person behind them that watches images2their sites and information 24/7. The PR team must stop negativity from happening, and build only the positive so that consumers will become loyal to that brand and product.

Small- and medium-sized enterprises are the key to job creation in the United States. Small enterprises, franchises, the boss that the employees like and work with as a team – these are the companies that social media is seriously making into stars. A great PR campaign can now be seen on mobile apps; it can be seen as a looping video or a Facebook campaign. These small businesses are taking the globe by storm because of the well-run campaigns beginning in the good, old U.S. of A.

Focusing on stimulating the economy is what all want to see happen. And, it is what’s happening (if you haven’t seen the stock market numbers lately, tune in). No more talk is being made of printing money or closing this and that; instead, it is the small business to the rescue.

Social media doesn’t solve all problems, of course. There is still a list of issues the small business owner has to deal with – from employee benefits to location to taxes, and more. But with social media, the actual reality of being able to be ‘seen’ by millions has gone from an impossibility to a fact with the social media/PR team at the helm.

Entrepreneurs are creating jobs, which is the one and only way to bring the U.S. back to the number one leadership position in the global markets and regain our economic status. Small businesses and their social media teams are continuing to join together to create and innovate, and the results are being seen each and every day.

What was once a wave of the future has become the only way to do business. With Facebook dominating 127 out of 137 countries, the U.S. is number one on the map of social network usage. The reason for this is not chats – it’s business. And by using ‘Goliath’ well, your social media/PR team can truly make the small and medium-sized business the next American superstars.

Chips DVD Review by Kam Williams Raunchy Adaptation of Classic TV Series Arrives on Home Video Whenever a classic television series is made into a movie, the buzz always seems to be about whether the screen version will be a creative variation on the theme or merely a campy, cornball, take-the-money-and-run ripoff trading in familiar formulas and shopworn cliches.
