Upon arrival crews found a single family home with heavy smoke and flames showing from the rear of the structure. Crews confirmed that the structure was evacuated, established a water supply strategy and began an aggressive attack on the fire. The fire was contained in approximately 20 min. despite heavy winds fueling the fire and making extinguishment efforts very difficult.
Due to the extent of fire upon arrival, damages to the home are significant. Fire damage was contained to the rear of the home and roof structure, but smoke and heat damage are present throughout.
There were no injuries reported during the incident, and the cause of the fire will be under investigation by the SJCFR Fire Marshals Office.
