Ripley’s Believe it or Not! In St. Augustine, Florida will once again attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the largest wedding vow renewal ceremony on Sunday, February 10th, at 19 San Marco Ave.
Last year, nearly 700 couples from seven countries around the world re-joined each other in holy matrimony in our multi-lingual wedding vow renewal ceremony. The current world record is held by the University of Miami with 1,087 couples.
Registration begins at Ripley’s at 11:00 am, and the ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM. Couples will receive a free carnation, a cup of biodegradable confetti to throw after the ceremony, wedding cake, and a complimentary romantic train rides down the bay front following the ceremony. There will be photographers on hand to take photos of the couples and there is no charge to participate in this event. Each couple needs to bring a photo copy of their original wedding certificate and a photo ID. The ceremony will be held in Spanish, English and sign language and one lucky couple will win a free honeymoon package!
Ripley’s Parking lot will be closed for the event, so participants will have to park at the parking garage or nearby lots.
