When Mary Tibbets isn’t taking her two sons to and from their sports practices and games, she’s usually trying to balance their schedules.

“One plays on a soccer travel team, and the other plays recreation league football,” says the stay at home mom. “It’s pretty daunting trying to keep their two schedules straight when they don’t always practice on the same day, time and place.  And then you have changes to the game schedule, cancellations, changes in location. It’s a lot to juggle.”

For thousands of parents like Tibbets, keeping schedules like that organized is becoming easier thanks to leading sports communication systems developer RecClix.

“All those things are problematic,” says RecClix founder John Trkla. “They’re cumbersome, ineffective and often not very timely. Our idea was to develop a tool that coaches and administrators can use to quickly, easily and securely contact the right group of people with the information they need, when they need it, and delivered how they want it.”

The application needed to be simple enough to use for coaches without a lot of technical know how. It also needed to be something that that RecClix 1parents didn’t have to register for, purchase or join. Creating a cloud based app and using a league’s existing registration data helped them accomplish those goals.

“We realized that solutions needed to be simple to implement and operate, without any need for managing standalone hardware and software,” says RecClix’s Tim Finnegan. “We wanted to make sure that everyone in the league would be adequately informed. Not just the folks lucky enough to be on teams that had tech-savvy coaches.”

But the true key for parents like Tibbets is a mobile app specifically designed for parents and players. It allows them to see their kids’ schedules and team information in one place. It also gives them confidence that they know the will be told about changes – without having to remember to check a website or call a hotline.
