Publicist Realizes Goal by Celebrating 10th Anniversary

St. Simons Island, Georgia (January 24, 2010) As the new year turns a page in history and The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort on St. Simons Island celebrates a Diamond Anniversary as one of America’s gems of hospitality, publicist Leigh Cort also celebrates a benchmark year. Her public relations company that specializes in historic hotels and distinctive destinations has reached its 10th Anniversary and a significant career goal: “I had to come back to St. Simons Island, Georgia and spend time at this incredible historic resort. Now I am luring professional travel journalists to appreciate its pedigree too” admits Cort.

Representing historic bed and breakfast inns, celebrity chefs and hotels on the National Historic Register for a decade, her southern connection began 30 years ago when she left New York to live in St. Simons Island. This is the year that Cort’s affection for the island has turned a milestone in her company as being the publicist for the resort and award-winning golf course.

With its rich southern heritage spanning 75 years of island evolution and advancements, the hotel’s distinctive Mediterranean architecture has secured its place in history. The story continues today as a destination of immeasurable riches. The seaside paradise combines pleasure and practicality in a setting heralded by guests since it opened in 1935.

THE KING AND PRINCE HOTEL HISTORY: If walls could talk, The King and Prince, (on the National Register of Historic Places and a member of Historic Hotels of America), would share a rich legacy of its place in American history for 75 years. Originally opened as a private dance club, friends of owners Frank Horn and Morgan Wynn coined its name that befitted its regal atmosphere. The Resort has been a tranquil island haven for dignitaries, celebrities, discerning families and business travelers since pre WW II until today.

Gain all Access Mobility with Roundabout Woodsman

Gain all Access Mobility with Roundabout Woodsman By Craig Lamb You are a waterfowler hunting solo with your prized retriever. Getting to the blind takes a four-wheel drive to pull through mud holes and keep on the two-track. Behind your truck is that aluminum jon boat. Launching that beast alone is a real hassle. Get it launched and you spend more time loading all the gear, a dog and yourself. All of the above is part of the fun, maybe, of … [Read More its Good for You...]

Charity Begins at Home

Charity Begins at Home by Amy Lignor   Turning a blind eye is easy for some; preferred by others. But the fact is that the bad doesn’t become good – in any area – unless eyes are open wide to not only see what’s occurring, but also to gain the knowledge needed to stop the bad from getting even worse. Remarks are made about “other countries” and what they do wrong when it comes to the harming of animals for profit. However, in … [Read More its Good for You...]
