Known for their trademark “Mile High” Hair and wild fashion sense, their first single “Rock Lobster” helped land them their first paid gig and brought them to the attention of the New York Press. They later went on to release hits like “Love Shack”, “Summer of Love”, “Roam”, “Deadbeat Club” and was even featured in the movie soundtrack from Steven Spielberg’s “The Flintstones”.

Arturo Sandoval is fluent in at least four musical languages.  He can burn through an Afro-Cuban groove, tear up a bebop tune, soar over a Mozart concerto and sooth you with a luscious ballad; with equal power and grace. Arturo Sandoval has been awarded 4 Grammy Awards, 6 Billboard Awards and an Emmy Award. The latter for his composing work on the entire underscore of the HBO movie based on his life, “For Love or Country” starring Andy Garcia.  He is one of the most dynamic and vivacious live performers of our time, and has recently been seen by millions in the Grammy Awards performing with pop-phenomenon Justin Timberlake as well as on the Latin Billboard Awards with the gifted Alicia Keys, where he was awarded his 6th Billboard Awards for “Best Latin Jazz Album”.

“Sin City” Becomes Acceptable? by Amy Lignor   So…what changes will occur if an NFL team hits Las Vegas? Not many, actually. Perhaps more of the ‘contract money’ will be lost considering the blackjack tables ARE right in the vicinity; however, NFL owners seem just fine with the fact that the Raiders will once again wave good-bye to their “Nation” and relocate to Sin City.
