PONTE VEDRA CONCERT HALL ADDS KEB’ MO’ (3/2) AND JUDY COLLINS (3/7) TO 2013 LINEUP

The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall has announced two new shows featuring Grammy Award winning artists for the 2013 season: Three-time American Grammy Award winning blues musician Keb’ Mo’ will perform on Saturday, March 2nd and Grammy Award winning folk musician Judy Collins will perform on Thursday, March 7th at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

Kevin Moore, Keb’ Mo’ is an American blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He is a three–time Grammy Award winner for Best Contemporary Blues Album. Keb’ Mo’ started his musical career playing the steel drums and upright bass in a calypso band. He moved on to play in a variety of blues and backup bands throughout the 1970s and 1980s. He began recording in the early 1970s with Jefferson Airplane violinist Papa John Creach through an R&B group. He released his self titled solo debut in 1994. In 1996, Keb’ Mo’ released the acclaimed album, Just Like You, which featured guest appearances by Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt and won his first Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album. He won two additional Grammy Awards in the same category for Slow Down (1999) and Keep It Simple (2005). The Reflection, released in 2011, is the first new studio album by Keb’ Mo’ since Suitcase in 2006. He is returning to the Concert Hall after performing last January.

Artist Judy Collins also known as Sweet Judy Blue Eyes has been performing for more than 50 years worldwide. The Grammy Award winning artist released her first album A Maid of Constant Sorrow at age 22. Judy has recorded more than forty albums throughout her career. She was awarded her first Grammy Award in 1968 for Best Folk Performance or Folk Recording for a depiction of Joni Mitchell’s song “Both Sides Now” on Collin’s album Wildflower. This album was honored with an induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Judy’s version of “Send in the Clowns,” won the 1975 Grammy Award for ”Song of the Year,” a Stephen Sondheim ballad to the Broadway musical “A Little Night Music.” Judy has several books credited to her career, including the personal memoir Sanity & Grace, centering on her only sonClark’s death in 1992. Judy founded her own label Wildflower Records in 1999. She continues to write, perform, and instruct new talent at the age of 73.

Tickets for both of these seated shows will go on sale this Friday, December 7th at10AM. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and St. Augustine Amphitheatre box offices, findmytix.com, and all Ticketmaster outlets.
