Everyone knows in this day and age of constant social media marketing, and the ability we all have to open our mouths and make big mistakes – that just one mistake can bring about destruction if ‘sent out’ over the World Wide Web. Although fame like this can help a celebrity’s career, a business is not so lucky.
No matter what size a company is in 2013, they must utilize social media platforms in order to bring their brand to the forefront of consumers’ minds. And when the press, users, followers, friends and the entire social media world replays that sound bite for everyone else to hear or read, the waters of profit quickly turn into shark-infested waters.
