I Feel the Need For Speed – Click!

by James Moore

‘Click velocity’ is a term that’s been floating around forever when it comes to the social media world. In other words, the faster someone clicks and ‘likes’ something – whether it be your content, articles, or Facebook presence – the more people will read and the more people will then click. These clicks become as important to companies BeFirst Media Group-inbound marketing 1and their ROI as the Oscar is to an actor or actress.

When it comes to ‘click velocity,’ the meaning of the term is simple. The faster the click, the more you get. These clicks and likes turn your page or article into one of the ‘Most Popular.’ And, as we all know from High School, it is the popular ones that others follow.

It’s not that consumes out there all feel the same or, like cattle, just follow in a herd; what ‘click velocity’ comes down to is actual curiosity. Why are so many people looking at something? Well, you have to find out, of course. And, with the research that comes from various analytic companies, when that many people ‘like’ something, more are apt to click ‘like’ as well.

These likes increase your company’s popularity and a brand begins to bud. The social media/PR team that your company hires are the ones that take that bud, maintain it, watch over it 24/7, and basically are the watchers and helpers that get that bud to turn into a full-grown flower. Not just a rose, mind you; the right social media team is able to utilize everything the social media world gives to them in order to make your company the heartiest flower of them all.

Every industry is different. Whether you are a company that offers wood to construction companies, or you are the smaller, boutique industry that offers handmade trinkets or Asian K-POP merchandise that the kids are going crazy for – those social media ‘likes’ will make sure that your company (brand) is the first site they head to in order to make their purchase

A social media team will make sure that events, competitions – everything – is held for the potential customer to bring those ‘likes’ quicker and get them through the ‘doors’ of your company. The social media team will monitor BeFirst Media Group-PR-Contentand analyze information and make sure the positive grows and the negative is surpassed by having other positive customers speak out. Yes, there will always be a negative comment; but the positive is what brings more people to the surface and has far more hang-time than any negative or dislike that may occur.

The social media team makes sure that your website is fresh; the content is unique. They want to make sure that even though you receive that fast click or like, that the customer is so inspired by your information or interested in your product, service or website that the clicks stop. In other words, they don’t keep clicking through, they halt on your website and give you the chance to make them a part of your loyal customer base.

It is the truth that consumers in this day and age want respect. They do not want a technical assistance line they sit on wasting their time, just to receive a person on the other end of the line who can not possibly answer their questions. This, unlike the small negative comment that may appear, can be a killer for a company. Once the customer service is in danger, the company can literally close their doors the minute they opened them.

A social media/PR team makes sure to be that customer service. They make sure that all social media campaigns for your company are set up correctly – with no room for error. They also know the best times of day to advertise to your potential client base, and the 24/7 intensity they offer your company is even more than that of an overprotective parent.

So when you think about ‘click velocity’ and all the accolades – including the extra ROI that a group of clicks can give you – just keep in mind that the right social media/PR team needs to be behind those clicks in order to give the consumer exactly what they want.

There Are Superheroes Among Us

There Are Superheroes Among Us by Amy Lignor   This story truly proves that a superhero does not require a cape, tights, or the ability to fly. In a world where all headlines seem to be centered around who shot who, who is being put upon, who’s “getting away with it” – all the way to who is getting divorced and who may or may not be kneeling at NFL games – negative stories seem to be the only ones covered anymore by the media. … [Read More its Good for You...]
