Haul That Bruin

Haul That Bruin

It’s no secret that whitetail deer are the most sought after creature on earth. However, growing in popularity both east and west of the Mississippi is the black bear. With black bear populations on the rise and tags, in many states, easy to get, more hunters are seeking after a furry pelt.

Here’s the thing: Aside from the tasty meat, hunters want to take special care of that beautiful coat. The bad news: This often isn’t an easy task. Why? Black bears are typically harvested off-the-beaten path. This often requires the hunter to drag the bear, tie its feet to a log pole and haul it out with the Food plot extractionhelp of several others or fight off blood-sucking mosquitoes and flies as they skin it out in the field. The problem is dragging the bear ruins the pelt, the log pole breaks the back and flies and mosquitos are annoying. So, what is the answer? The Game Sled by Hunting’s a Drag, Inc.

Built to withstand seasons of rugged abuse and haul out animals up to 400 pounds, this 6-pound sled packs a powerful punch. Its proprietary coating reduces friction as it’s pulled across the forest floor, thus reducing strain on the body. In fact, a single hunter or two can easily and safely remove a black bear from rugged terrain. The comfortable handles reduce drag effort, and the Game Sled offers one the ability to use a treestand safety belt harness to assist with the extraction.  And should you be able to get an ATV to your downed bear, don’t get a hernia trying to toss it up on the racks. That’s right; you can pull the Game Sled right behind your ATV. Regardless of whether you pull your bruin from the woods with an ATV or by man power, your hide and meat will be protected and overall mess will be reduced. The Game Sled wraps around the animal, protecting both the hide and the meat from damage.

You will also undoubtedly appreciate the Game Sled’s blaze orange color. Let’s face it, there are some sub-par hunters out there—hunters who may mistake a black bear being toted through the woods for a live animal. However with the Game Sled, this is never a worry. The blaze orange coloring screams, “I’m not something to shoot at!”

Honestly, can you afford to venture away on your next black bear hunt without a Game Sled? I think not.
