Get Down to Basics With!

Better Way Health and the articles that we have been giving to all you readers out there over the past few months, has spawned some very interesting ‘super highway’ conversations. In fact, more and more people are learning about this amazing company, and realizing that its creation began with the strength and perseverance of one man who refused to give up no matter what the doctor’s told him. They are also finding out that the amazing products that this site sells are products that actually DO provide us with a healthier lifestyle.

From vitamins for healthy living to devices that give you clean water, (which is almost possible to find nowadays), to juicers that build your abs and help your physical shape just as much as they help your internal organs by offering you all the nutrients you need in order to stay fit – has given all of these products to the rest of us.

But what does it mean to be healthy? Better Way Health addresses this issue in so many ways it’s almost impossible to name them all. Not only do they offer their phenomenal list of products that have been proven to aid in the betterment of our health and quality of life, but they also go one step further and give us the information we need to know in order to live longer.

But, what are the basics? With all the ‘hype’ for products that supposedly will make you lose weight in seconds (of course, they’ll also make you pass out), and other products that supposedly are the ‘end all and be all’ of modern-day health, it’s hard to know what’s true anymore. Most of these products come out with a bang and then, a year later, are proven to be nothing more than a ‘scam.’ The lines have gotten truly blurry regarding just the plain old basics of what we need in order to maintain good health.

The first and foremost will never change. We must eat a healthy diet. Again, there are a myriad of ‘quick’ diets that one can use if they need to look their absolute best in only three days time – but they are completely and utterly dangerous. Yes, I’ve head all about that sweet potato thing where you don’t even drink water but sip it and then spit it out. Supposedly this process is used a couple of days ahead of a big moment in your life so that your skin actually becomes dehydrated enough to pull taut – giving you the hottest figure in the place. Of course, it also gives you a head that is about to shut down and send you to the floor in a fainting spell of monumental proportions.

Eating a healthy diet is no joke. A multivitamin provides some insurance against deficiencies but is far less important for health than healthy food patterns. A diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts and healthy oils – and low in red meat and unhealthy fats – is exactly what you need to keep up that strength and provide your body with the nutrients it desperately needs.

Now, it is a fact that you should choose a daily multivitamin. I mean, the benefits certainly outweigh the risks with this one, and if you happen to have one of those days where your diet is not exactly top of the line, at least the vitamin will provide you with the basics.

Vitamin D, which was always been talked about, yet has now become the subject of major studies in the health world, is also a must. In addition to its bone health benefits, there’s astoundingly growing evidence that getting some extra vitamin D absolutely lowers the risk of colon and breast cancer. There are many people who need 2,000 IU per day (or more) for adequate blood levels of vitamin D, particularly those who live in altitudes and locations where they spend little time in the sun.

On the flip side of this particular study, doctors are also now saying that you should say ‘no’ when it comes to megas. This generally means to avoid any mega-dose vitamins and mega-fortified foods – with Vitamin D being the exception.

Try to avoid “super” supplements – these are a lot like those commercials that tell you all about a cat litter that will never smell no matter what the cat does (total lie). There are many in the world who are easily swayed by insincere health claims advertised on TV and the Internet so…if they sound too good to be true, you can bet they are.

There are a gazillion rules when it comes to the studies that focus on vitamins and health. But, when it’s all said and done, the message you need to really get ingrained in your head is this: A daily multivitamin and an extra vitamin D supplement, is a good way to make sure you’re getting all the nutrients you need to be healthy.

Yes, a healthy diet should provide nearly all the nutrients you need, but many people don’t eat the healthiest of diets. We all know this. Why do you think McDonald’s is still in business? Because of this, a multivitamin can help fill in the gaps, and may have added health benefits. The folic acid in most multivitamins helps prevent neural tube defects in newborns, if women take it before they become pregnant; and, again, may also lower the risk of heart disease, colon cancer, and breast cancer.

As with everything, there can be too much of a good thing, even with vitamins, so it’s important not to go overboard. While a multivitamin and a vitamin D supplement can help people who live on a less than ‘perfect’ diet, too much can be harmful.

Nutrition news is scattered across the world, and if you read enough, you’ll certainly come across the fact that not all scientists agree on multivitamins. Some say that there’s not enough proof that multivitamins boost health, whereas other scientists show a link between multivitamin use and increased risk of death.

So as says, we must always look at all the evidence and gain a knowledge of what is true and what is false. When you put everything together, the potential health benefits of taking a standard daily multivitamin seem to outweigh the potential risks for most people.

My advice? Get over to immediately and look at their never-ending blog of information with some truly powerful points and all the facts you need on health and nutrition. THEY are the hand that can truly guide the rest of us toward a healthy lifestyle.
