Game Sled Provides the Exit; Access Roads Provide the Entry

Game Sled Provides the Exit; Access Roads Provide the Entry

by Jimmy Ruffler

Hunters need a Game Sled from Hunting’s a Drag, Inc. for many reasons. The biggest, is the fact that it’s the perfect way to exit a habitat once access to various locations have been built. In order to get inside that habitat to look for a trophy buck, entry must be provided whether it be state, national, public or private lands that are offered to the hunter.

The extraction of that elusive game is difficult. After searching, nabbing and bringing it down, a sigh of relief is always given by the hunter when a Game Sled is part of their gear – allowing themLogo 11to easily extract the prize out of the habitat and cause no damage to the natural vegetation.

The problem seems to arise when getting into the habitat. Having the ability to gain access to various locations (sometimes remote), is an issue that every state and private landowner has to deal with. Not only for the hunter’s safety, access roads are also needed for the wildlife. If creatures can not get to the water source or the high-protein crops they need in order to feed, they will eventually grow ill and the herd will be decimated.

States have their own management plans in place when it comes to building access roads. The highly-popular hunting states – Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, and Idaho – are well-known for doing all they can to ensure hunter, wildlife and landowner/manager have the proper access they require. For safety purposes, as well as the ability to keep and maintain a healthy property, people must be able to have access over the natural barrier’s that include everything from streams to wetlands.

To take one example, the state of Montana is a hunter’s dream. Over 30 million acres of state and federal lands represent nearly one third of the entire state. As many will attest, most of this land provides excellent hunting opportunities.

Montana looks out for the hunter, making sure that the habitats are productive and accessible. A map is still a ‘must-have’ (or, in this day and age, some mobile app that basically takes you to the deer’s location in seconds), but when it comes to access roads, the majority of Montana’s habitats are easily entered.

State land accessibility, public roads, navigable rivers, or adjacent federal access is always available. When it comes to a private landowner, the hunter must seek permission, but if the landowner does not have the proper access roads in place, the entry will be far more difficult than the Game Sled extraction.

Montana Wildlife Management Areas, owned and managed by the Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, provide free public hunting opportunities statewide. And the national forests, which make up nearly 16 of the 30 million acres, are legally accessible via those public roads and/or navigable waterways.

This is one state that has done its duty for the hunter, so to speak. With a program called, Access Montana, they have worked to improve access to all state and federal lands. They also use funding to make agreements that provide access corridors to public lands; land owner incentives, like fencing, cattle guards, and water crossings on access routes; signage to indicate public/private land boundaries; and increased patrolling where appropriate.

Many towns and states are instituting extra programs to offer disabled hunters better access roads that are specifically designed to accommodate their needs. An entire access system with roads that are closed to all motorized vehicles except disabled transportation is part of the plan.

When moving away from state and national lands, a private landowner is always looking for ways to improve their own property for the hunter. By hiring construction crews that understand the needs of the manager, they not only provide access to the food crops they planted and the water sources needed for their ‘home’ herd, but they can also provide absolute safety for recreational enjoyment.

It’s necessary for the hunter to have that ease of entry in order to bag their game. And with a Game Sled as part of their gear, extraction will be just as easy!

The Levelling Film Review by Kam Williams Prodigal Daughter Tries to Reconcile with Estranged Dad in Haunting Parable of Biblical Proportions It's not very clear whether Harry Catto's (Joe Blakemore) death was a murder or a suicide. One thing's for certain, though. It wasn't merely a mishap, because nobody accidentally sticks a gun in his own mouth and pulls the trigger. The cops suspect that he killed himself, but his father (David … [Read More its Good for You.....]
