FaceLuXe Tips to Save Your Summer Skin

FaceLuXe Tips to Save Your Summer Skin

 by Samantha Lewis

The issue of skincare is increasing in this country every day. The night creams being used in order to stop the skin from actually melting from these super-hot summer temperatures, are becoming more and more popular and basically flying off the shelves.

Your skin should be a feature of beauty. Wrinkles, age spots, sun spots, dry, crackly skin – all of these are things that no woman or man wants to see. Unfortunately, the Great Outdoors offers many things that can harm the skin. When you want to make sure that you are completely protected and extra beautiful as the summer moves on – FaceLuXe can be the ultimate partner.

As everyone knows, FaceLuXe is already the nation’s most popular provider when it comes to skin treatments, facials and more. They know their work FaceLuXe-MassageLuXe-Bam Brands 2inside-and-out, and not only provide rest and relaxation to their clients, but they offer services that truly rejuvenate the skin.

The facts are still true: The skin is your protective shell; it allows you to feel and touch; it is also your body’s most prominent organ – but it is the beauty factor that many want to attain more than anything else. And soft, clean skin comes with hard work.

During the summer, UV levels can wreak havoc on your exposed skin. Hot rays of the sun cause negative effects of sun exposure. Not only will one in five Americans develop some form of skin cancer during their lifetime, but exposure to prolonged ultraviolet light can also lead to cataracts, which affect more than 20 million Americans over the age of 40.

Premature aging of the skin comes in all forms, as well: sunlight is an attack-dog when delivering wrinkles, dryness, and age spots. Therefore, for all of the above, blocking harmful rays is necessary. What many forget is that even on cloudy days the sun is shining through and can penetrate clouds, mist and fog. So wearing sunblock and various clothing to protect the skin is still necessary.

When you combine fall, winter and spring, you are only speaking about 20% of the UV exposure the body receives during the entire year. Sun shields are a way to at least halt or diminish the exposure in the summer. Also, sunscreens are still highly recommended in the defense of sunburn and skin cancer. You certainly have your choice out there: From lotions to creams; ointments to wax sticks – the one who truly wants to glow can even purchase sunscreens with glitter.

Applying the sunscreen at least 15 to 30 minutes before you go out is also a requirement. Put on enough so that it takes a full minute to rub in. If you’re at the beach, spread at least one ounce on your face and body. When it comes to being outside swimming, sweating, or working out, the sunscreen should be reapplied every two hours. And it must be water-resistant. Remember, skin damage happens without ever seeing an actual sunburn.

Clothing is also really important. Yes, even with that long, flowing hair your scalp is exposed. This means those harmful UV rays are shining down on you. Take a hat with a broad brim to make sure your ears are safe as well. And other clothing items have been designed to ward off skin-cancer-causing rays which have been dubbed with an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) rating. This rating shows how much of the sun’s rays are absorbed by the fabric. Garments that are made of unbleached cotton, high-luster polyester, and thin, satiny silk can absorb or reflect UV radiation, which will also prevent damaging rays from reaching the skin. Darker materials also help because they absorb UV light and keep it away from your body.

Speaking of wanting beauty when the summer is at its hottest – use lip bam. The lips are actually in major danger from the sun. Cracked, peeling, scaly lips – some of these factors can mean something far worse is happening, such as skin cancer. To keep the soft, full, healthy lips, make sure to use lip-specific products that have SPF 15 or higher. And much to the surprise of many – do not use baby oil, petroleum jelly, or high-shine lip gloss.

Add on the sunglasses and you’re good to go! Enjoy the summer, be safe, feel good and look good – courtesy of FaceLuXe.
