Very inspiring article! A trip to Europe has changed my life forever, has made me a better person, a dreamer and a traveler. Now, my goal is to visit India. There is a TEAM working on legally going forward with ‘this’ story; it is not the first one to come out that has the USA Military involved.

How much of our tax dollars are supporting this demonic torture ?
I see a FOIA in my near future, hit the SEND button, fax and wait.

Too many horrid secrets covered up and a heartless sick hush hush deeper military secrets; TY Obama and all the presidents who came before AND know of these less then cruelty un-necessary vivasectors which are proven not to work anyhow, just a bunch of sick kids who have mental issues and these are the ones who are supposed to be proud and protect us? NO THANKS !

Look at the morality of what the USA has continued to decrease here and abroad- why would anyone think they would care about you, me or any life at this point.

I am on this, so if I do disappear; you will know why.

A born American; told, brainwashed I was a lucky to be an American. You don’t want to know what I think about being so freaking ‘lucky’.
I may live here but in no way are any of us ‘lucky’ except the members of Congress. SHAME SHAME SHAME !!!

Please discontinue harming animals as part of military training. Not only is that kind of cruelty UNETHICAL, it most likely promotes a detachment from causing pain and suffering which extends to human beings as well. Since persons serving in the military have families and come home, and leave the military…..this is not the kind of attitude the US Government and military should be promoting!

In terms of armed forces going abroad, there have already been incidents which have discredited our country of excessive violence, of killing of civilians, of maiming corpses…..and it is highly unlikely that the attitude behind these events is not fostered by the training where instructors are unnecessarily violent to helpless animals and compel servicepersons to be so also.

I enjoyed and applaud what you’ve written, and how you’re maintaining a positive spirit throughout Mythica, or , striving to when drawn away by other thoughts of retribution or judgment. It reminded me of Janet Atwood recounting her plans to write a book about her pursuit of spiritual awareness/development in India, when suddenly her mother became ill on an extended basis and died, seemingly preempting all her dreams and ambitions. A swami contacted her, out of the blue, indicating he thought that he knew her in a prior life and felt drawn to attend her mother’s wake or service. One thing led to another, and through him she eventually met, interviewed and wrote about the most renowned spiritual masters throughout India, that otherwise she would have never encountered. (Chills down the back.). But, it was another episode, dealing with ostensible loss that I wanted to recount from her book, The Passion Test, where she was hosted by a generous Indian family, and somehow she knocked something over causing an extensive fire in their home. She felt awful about having been the reason for their loss, and yet the family reacted joyfully, and not out of some mechanical “rationalization”, nor fatalistic “it is what it is” resignation to their material loss, but true happiness and joy. Write, call, email, or fax your Congress persons. Tell your representative that you want to see him or her support H. R. 2996 The Prevention of Horse Slaughter Act of 2011 sponsored by Indiana Congressman Dan Burton. Tell your senators that you want them to support S 1776, the Senate version of the Horse Slaughter Prevention Act sponsored by Senator Mary Landrieu.

If you have children, you can have them write letters and send them to the Children’s Letter Writing Campaign, A Million Horse March being conducted by Jo-Claire Concoran with the Equine Welfare Alliance. Your letters are needed by March 20, and will be delivered to Congress on March 27.

If your Senators are willing to help sponsor either the House or the Senate Bill it would hasten the process of getting the bills through committee and to the floor for a vote. The horses are facing some powerful political forces. Senator Reid supports horse slaughter, so it will take a large number of Senator sponsors to get that bill through committee to the floor.

IU have read the story on Buddy, it seem to me that Buddy was acting like any normal human being would have if they where in the same situation, dogs will protect their owner and their family just like you and I would, so there is no reason that Buddy shoudl be left in a shelter and away from his loving family because he protect a beloved family member from being hurt by another dog or dogs who by the way started attack him and his owner first, self-defense is still self-defense whether it’s people or animals in this case a dogs named Buddy let him go home with his family where he belongs.

Cathy this report was posted by me and it was sent to us media persons by the Horse Harbor Foundation. The email in the above post, to my knowledge, is correct and functional. When did you write to the email and what info would you like to know? For any complaints against the horse slaughter, please write to the Governor and any organizations working for horse safety and protection. Also, contact as many media people as you can and tell them about this report. Horse slaughter is a calamity and only people power can stop it. Your effort counts.
