Anschütz MSR RX22 Tactical Trainer and Small-Game Hunter

MSR RX22 Tan

What happens when a trio of innovated German companies put their heads together? Well, in this case, a precision .22-caliber training and small-game hunting rifle that puts an exclamation point behind the word accuracy. That’s right, Anschütz, German Sport Guns and ESC Ulm joined forces to give sportsmen and women the MSR RX22 small-bore tactical rifle. In a class all its own, the MSR RX22 is a fry cry from that .22-caliber plinker that was passed down form your grandfather. The MSR RX22 showcases a target barrel and competition trigger that will have you burning lead through the same hole time and time again.

Operating on a force-locking blowback action system with hammer lock, the MSR RX22 obtains energy from the motion of the cartridge case upon firing, thus ensuring a jam-free semi-auto self-loading system that performs time and time again. As for the barrel, when you throw the name Anschütz in the picture you know you can bank on undeniable accuracy. The MSR RX22 barrel is manufactured to the same exacting tolerances of Anschütz target barrels with a special button-rifling process. Also sure to be cheered is the perfectly recessed target crown, which heightens accuracy as the bullet leaves the muzzle.

As for the single-stage trigger, it’s finely ground and fast with a very consistent release. And for all of you customization nuts out there, the MSR RX22’s single-stage trigger delivers in spades. This trigger is adjustable between 3.3 and 5.5 pound of pull. It does come factory-set at 4 pounds.

Ideal for both left- and right-handed shooters, the MSR RX22 boasts a cocking handle that can be located in any of three positions on either side of the rifle, offering even more customization to ensure a perfect and comfortable shooter-to-cocking handle fit.

Long on safety, the MSR RX22 sports a trigger-locking safety, which is easily engaged by way of a large selector on either side of the rifle. The MSR RX22 is available in Desert and Black Hawk models, which feature a side-folding stock that is collapsible for length of pull and adjustable cheek weld. I know…more customizing, accuracy-enhancing features. The Precision and Precision Black models have fixed wooden stocks and foreend components. In addition, all rifles have a full-length Picatinny rail on top for mounting the included iron sights as well as your favorite optics.

So if you’re looking for the ultimate .22-caliber training rifle or for one that will fill your game bag with more small game furs that you ever imagined, give the MSR RX22 with 10-round polymer detachable single-stack magazine a serious look.

The Levelling Film Review by Kam Williams Prodigal Daughter Tries to Reconcile with Estranged Dad in Haunting Parable of Biblical Proportions It's not very clear whether Harry Catto's (Joe Blakemore) death was a murder or a suicide.
