Alan Jackson Wakes the Dead in St. Augustine

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4TH ST. AUGUSTINE AMPHITHEATRE TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY, MAY 16TH, 10AM!

alan1WHO: COUNTRY MUSIC SUPERSTAR ALAN JACKSON WHAT:  Few rival Alan Jackson`s star power in the country music world. He`s been nominated for 50 Country Music Association awards, placing him second on the list, and tops ASCAP`s Number One List,  penning 21 #1 songs. One of his most recent #1 songs, Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)  went to number #1 faster than any song in the past 4 years, even before it was completed in the studio, thanks to a performance on the November 7th airing of the CMA Awards.

Jackson`s neo-traditionalist approach to country music and his sentimental and honest approach to songwriting is perhaps what draws so many fans. Contemporary Vince Gill has said of Jackson: The songs he writes always tell it like it is ” simple truths that come from his heart.  And as they come from his heart they go straight to the hearts of fans around the globe. Some of Jackson`s biggest hits include Chattahoochee,  Chasin` That Neon Rainbow,  Here in the Real World,  and Don`t Rock The Jukebox.

There Are Superheroes Among Us

There Are Superheroes Among Us by Amy Lignor   This story truly proves that a superhero does not require a cape, tights, or the ability to fly. In a world where all headlines seem to be centered around who shot who, who is being put upon, who’s “getting away with it” – all the way to who is getting divorced and who may or may not be kneeling at NFL games – negative stories seem to be the only ones covered anymore by the media. … [Read More its Good for You...]

And the location of many, oddly enough, happen to be in the Southwest. It used to be that a nice white sandy beach was the one place we yearned to go on vacation to get away from it all. Now, however, people are searching for places to travel where legends still exist, and … [Read More its Good for You...]

Doing Our Part

Doing Our Part by Amy Lignor   There are books being published as of late – wonderful books telling the stories of amazing wildlife rescues, as well as neighborhoods and communities across the U.S. that have taken on projects to save the wildlife in their own surrounding areas.   We always talk about these “success stories,” yet never actually give information on exactly how these “problems” turned into “victories.” … [Read More its Good for You...]
