A New Title Offers a “Fresh” Look at YA Fiction!

A New Title Offers a “Fresh” Look at YA Fiction!

Until Next Time is told through a balance of light and dark, showing the intelligence, creativeness, strength and ingenuity of young adults instead of simply leaning on teenage angst. Major well-known characters from saints to angels to warriors have parts in this story, and they speak to their two beloved students, Matt and Emily, in not only a powerful way, but they are also shown as humorous entities that know how to enjoy their free time.

Showing the “up above” world in a new light, the story is inoffensive to all, but the descriptions (i.e., doors that lead to everything from Entertainment Halls to Council Chambers) have readers wondering when the next “trip” up above is going to happen, so they can see more.

Romance, as with all YA’s, is prevalent in the story, but this romance has a different focus than most. This is not a human vs. angelic world, nor is this a dreary drama about the tragedies of love. This is a world where an angel/warrior team learns and strives to find out what it means to be human; they attempt to understand why “free will” is called a gift, when everyone seems to be making the wrong choices with their hearts.

Along the way much is shown about why humans are having such trouble keeping faith in themselves and others in the world they live in. Everything is being shown as dark, dreary and painful – but there is another side that has yet to be explored. Yes, there are difficulties to be faced, but the world is breaking apart at the seams. This particular team is a breath of fresh air because, although they get caught up in the muck and mire of daily life, they still fight to keep what they know in their hearts to be true.

There is a balance of everything and there has to be for this world to survive. Human life offers the most confusion for the team and allows readers to partake in the thrills, chills, romance, adventure and a look at how life is negative. But they are also given a balance this time out – the light, love, faith and absolute fun that lies just a short trip away.

Teaches not preaches. This is not a preachy religious book, even considering some of the characters. The world up above is filled with fun, adventure and scenes that readers will not assume could even occur – but they’ll be very glad they did.

There are significant relationships because everything from battle to wars to hungry people to “rich versus poor” to powerful individuals who think they can do anything without consequences, are faced. All areas of life are covered that are currently taking away our faith in ourselves and others, and causing depression and loneliness that we see everywhere.

Charity Begins at Home

Charity Begins at Home by Amy Lignor   Turning a blind eye is easy for some; preferred by others. But the fact is that the bad doesn’t become good – in any area – unless eyes are open wide to not only see what’s occurring, but also to gain the knowledge needed to stop the bad from getting even worse. Remarks are made about “other countries” and what they do wrong when it comes to the harming of animals for profit. However, in … [Read More its Good for You...]
