Ormond Beach, FL – Okay I’m slow. I was gone for ten days on a mission trip to Encarnacion, Paraguay, and of course I was out of the news. Before the trip I didn’t get it. So starting on Tuesday, I got back into it and lo’, I now get it. What is it? It’s the answer to the question “Why?”. Why does our president want to bring down the institutions that were established due to the freedoms our founding fathers gave us? I’m on firm ground with the premise that he does want to bring down institutions because NO good economic advisor would EVER condone growing government, taking over businesses, and restricting freedoms like capping pay, cap and trade, or raising taxes on anyone, ESPECIALLY in a recession. I have to give credit where it’s due to the pundits who turned the light on for me – Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh primarily. Don’t pooh on them yet because they used Obama’s own words. Stay with me now as I recite the evidence.
-Obama’s history starts with an activist mother and continues with radicals like Ayers, then into a church (for 20 years) where black liberation theology is the theme along with his job as a community organizer. ALL of these want(ed) to bring down the institutions of capitalism and free markets. Community organizers, we now know, have specific goals for destroying the system we have.
-He has SAID over and over that he wants to “level the playing field”. Notice that there is no consideration for “fairness” in any of his policies. To put it another way, he wants equal outcomes rather than equal opportunity. Experiments throughout history have shown this will not work. We, here in the U.S. with the Great Society, attempted to transfer wealth in real terms better than even the Soviet Union while using the capitalist system to create the wealth. Was that a success story? You decide.
-In his speech Wednesday night, he contradicted himself over the issue of “government run”. If you think it won’t be “government run” 100% in the long run, you have no perception. And if you think government can run something well, just name one government program at any level that you think is being run effectively and efficiently.
-He hates profit. But without profit what do we have? Doesn’t anyone understand any more that profit is the new wealth that can be spread around in the form of opportunity? Without it, we become third world. Rush had an interesting take on this. He said essentially that people will always pursue money one way or the other. If not profit that does good, then fraud that is bad. So take away profit and you only leave fraudulent pursuits.
-He is NOT post-racial. He showed his racism Wednesday night when he evaluated the Cambridge police department as “stupid”. His “assumptions” about white vs black relations did what they usually do and made an ASS-U&ME or as a minimum, he became the stupid one. He admitted that he did not know the facts and the bad news for him is that the facts will come out and it appears that they will NOT reflect well on his opinion. If he truly is the “messiah” some believe, then he would have known the facts and would have a better chance of coming out right without appearing to be a racist – even though he is.
Bottom line, we have elected a president who is going to fundamentally change everything our immediate ancestors have built with their blood and sweat, to the lowest common denominator instead of the peak of excellence. Why? He is again attempting equal outcomes and fairness will not be recognizable because the end justifies the means. You will not like the MEANS.

Great idea, but will this work over the long run?
