I am at the age of 47 now, and have over the decades reached out and connected to such situations as this, note that I typed situations and not problems.... I do not believe in problems, only situations with solutions. There are many of the population that will or already been touched by homelessness in one way or another, so it is very important that we all get involved in striving for better solutions to the situations. I do get out into the atmosphere of the circumstances that show those in this way of being homeless, offering them even the chance to understand they are human and exsist, giving them the simplest things like a smile and a "Hello", even asking them what they see as thier needs or directions at the time we talk. This, believe it or not , does allow them voice to what is in connection to the situations the face at the time, this alone lets them know we as other fellow human beings still have some compassion as well as can understand hardships ... No matter how we all have been raised in life , we are taught something about care and love for others, to know that sharing this alone can help the best in anyone grow with positive effects. Also, to know that there are those in any environment or status that may not be of the best characte, but if we do only what we can to give back to those who are less fortunate in it, it will be benefical to the truest of those who need it. For those who dare to abuse the love, care, and kindness of the ones reaching out to share with them, they will either finally realize that taking advantage of the good-hearted people will eventually back-fire on them with the light of those who have helped them to only go to others and give of themslves... I write this to you from the years of experiences so far by helping the thousands of those who have faced the ordeals, many do get into the reality of things over time, get back on thier feet by getting a job, a place to live, thier health back up to par, and re-connect to family/friends... I would love to see this continue to happen even here in the St. Augustine, Florida Area as well as many many other places all over the country...
